Dissidia To Feature Data Install

Do you know how certain games on the PS3 perform a data install so that load times are drastically reduced? Well, it looks like that same feature will be making it's way onto the PSP via Dissidia, Square Enix's new Final Fantasy themed fighter.

PSPHyper.com is reporting that PSP owners will have the choice of installing the data in 245Mb, 373Mb or 528Mb amounts depending on their need for quicker loading times and the size of their memory stick. Now, one might see this as bad due to the amount of memory stick space players are using up, on the other hand, this may be a great step forward for the PSP to help diminish what used to be some pretty insane loading times.

1 - Data Installs are SWEET on PSP!!!
They had this feature for Monster Hunter 2nd G, and it cut the load time to practically non during missions.
Anybody that played the older Monster Hunters can tell you how much load time there was in those games, zero load time KICKS ASS!!!

Yeah, no loading times is sweet...
But that's not enough excuse to take 600 MB...
Atleast we have multiple choices... Which is nice...

Let their allways be choices and i'm happy...
But if this turns into a mandatory install shiet... Then F**k no..

Wait... Is this the first sign of a PSP with built in HDD?

LET THE RUMORS BEGIN !!!!!!!!

Well, ive got a 4gb... so if games start going manic with this feature, which btw I see no problem in if it does indeed help loading, then maybe ill finally upgrade to an 8 or 16gb.
But this shud be purely optional... something devs for the ps3 shud consider taking into account.

5 - Cool
Yeah, they had this in MHF2 and basically loading times were non-existent. Or, you could have an M33 PSP to load through the Memory Stick anyway. :P

7 - Hey, I have an idea!
Why not do the same on the PS3. To choose if you want 500 mb, 1 gb, 2 gb, etc in the hard drive would give the players the option if they just whant to jump in dircetly to the game or take there time for shorter loading time.

It would be so much better than have a pre determed install size that are to big for some.

7.1 - Considering that all PS3 come with a harddrive, why optional?
I think Sony included the harddrive for devs to take advantage of it? If everything would be option then sony would of just release a arcade version of the PS3 and then you would be screaming why sony why did you not include a harddrive in every PS3...I want everygame to have installs, do you want to know why? because the PS3 is a phucking game machine and if the installs are necessary then install the phucking data and STFU or please don't buy a PS3 so we don't have to hear about this sh1t every 15 minutes...It's stupid to hear articles about installs when every ps3 has a harddrive, now if ps3 didn't come with a harddrive that would be a different story..but every ps3 has a harddrive so it's pointless(optionals are for 360 because they don't have a choice)

It's mainly of that some players want to jump right in to the game. For example a party game like Buzz! or Soul Calibur IV (that game had an option. I installed immediately) and have the game in the hand. Pop it in and then it needs to install. For me and my friends we know that we pop it in and let it install while we set everything up during the install. Though others who aren't used to that.

I admit it was a very fast thinking of it. I was think trough a casual aspect on it all.

8 - Great for people without custom firmware
Took them long enough to see how its so much faster playing games from the memory card.
