Disappointingly, and in spite of Tiburon's positive intentions, NFL 09's greatest downfall is that it still isn't as intuitive and accessible as it should be. An NFL novice will quickly and easily be overwhelmed by the numerous playbooks and play options at hand, instead choosing to rely on the Rewind feature to progress rather than skill. Madden NFL 09 certainly plays the best game of American Football out there, but it's only the fans that will get the most out of Tiburon's latest.
