SCEE Reveals More PlayStation Day 2008 Information

PlayStation.com forum user StalkingSilence found more hidden information on SCEE's website regarding the upcoming PlayStation Day on May 6, 2008. The event page set up for the site, but currently not linked to anywhere else, displays several games related to the invite-only press event.

I thought it was mostly SCEE event but with R2 showing up that means SCEA is in there too.

I was really looking forward to seeing games like heavy rain, war devil, eight days getaway 3 e.t.c. With GTA4 out this yr i really hope they take a long hard look to know what the competition is doing. Outmatching via graphics simply isn't good enough

I thought Guerilla (the developers of R2) are actually in London. I don't really know though.
Also, those games listed were just found under "related games" - it could be a coincidence or it could mean more...

Also, I'd imagine other games will be discussed. In the Spanish playstation.com european forums, there is a thread suggesting EIGHT DAYS might be presented. All just speculation though.

Guerilla games is in EU but they are working on Killzone 2 not Resistance 2

Insomniac is working on Resistance 2.

Both are fps's but the gameplay and story are quite different. There is a lot of doubt that KZ2 will make it in this yr so a strong showing at gamers day could give them a bit more confidence. I would have thought the game would be much farther along by now. They had pretty good gameplay footage over a yr ago and it was playable to some members of the media so i thought we would have seen a little more by now.

my bad - i know the difference between the two. i was thinking for some reason about KZ2. i was putting a lot of info out there today (between this and the US SingStore website i just found LIVE)... i confused myself.

I don't really understand why there is so much hype around KZ2. What is the innovative aspect of this game? Is it progressing anywhere, or just another shooter, like Halo 3. I'm not having a go at either of these, but i'd be more hyped about something such as Haze, which is adding a whole new gameplay element to the game, which actually ADDS to the game.

There are too many FPS on the market today. I'd like to see some more games like Crash Bandicoot 3. And I can't wait for the next in the Kingdom Hearts series for PS3, as the game is both, different and fun, thus making it a game I could go out and buy and play for a long time.

We're not getting a price cut til fall. You think sonys gonna drop the price when the have plenty of garaunteed sales seeing as how tax returns and stimulus checks are going out soon?

I'm imagining and hoping in some way that the Resistance 2 showing will be of the tech going into Resistance 2 rather than say teasers.

But I would still also love a different teaser if that was to be the case. I'm quite stoked.

but in the case of KZ2 vs R2 as many seem to be stating I would have to choose KZ2.. the atmosphere straight away from the cg at the beginning of Killzone has me completely hooked with the game.
