In advance of the launch of the UK version of the game (which boasts an additional Hard mode over its Japanese counterpart), IGN sat down with Yoshinori Kitase, executive producer on the game (whose past credits include Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X), and Hideki Imaizumi, producer (whose credits include Final Fantasy X and X-2, and Dirge of Cerberus).
Perhaps the most important point they made, if you're a Final Fantasy fan, is that the game is the product of a development team that combines old hands with new blood; people like Kitase himself, for example, along with younger team members who were themselves fans of the original Final Fantasy VII. So they're well placed to take the story forward.
