Resistance 2 Trailer on April 11 GTTV?

Geoff Keighley promised some information on The Force Unleashed segments that will be airing on Spike and now He has it. Here's when you can tune into Spike over the next week to hear more about the game. He will be hosting a series of short interstitials with Haden Blackman from LucasArts to reveal more game details:

- April 6 at 7:58 p.m. ET/PT – between the premiere of Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith

- April 11 at 10:52 p.m. ET/PT – At the end of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope

- April 12 at 12:00 a.m. ET/PT – throughout an episode of GameTrailers TV with Geoff Keighley filmed at LucasArts' headquarters in San Francisco

- April 12 at 5:06 p.m. ET/PT – before Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope

- April 13 at 5:06 p.m. ET/PT – before Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back

If you miss these segments don't worry -- They will be putting them up on GameTrailers after they air.

Meantime, make sure you don't miss their April 11 episode (that's next Friday). It's our biggest GTTV yet. They will have SEVEN world exclusives in the show in high-definition! They will show you the Duel Mode in the Force Unleashed for the Wii, but they also have something special from their friends at Insomniac Games and Sony Computer Entertainment.

Resistance 2 Trailer ftw!! It will probably coincide with the introduction of the new Store as well as the next update to the Store.

Edit: Well maybe the embargo is lifted on the trailer when GT premieres it.

To unveil the monster, the legend in the making that is Resistance 2. This is going to be EPIC, I have a feeling it`s going to do what HALO2 did for the Xbox..... but for the PS3.I can`t wait and I know you can`t either.

I am really hoping that it is not this but...there have been rumors of Insomniac making Ratchet and Clank Future downloadable content stuff right? This could be that stuff even though I really hope it is not.

I just think that they would do the first trailer for Resistance 2 on a huge stage at a big event. Not sure though. I guess we will see (the trailer hopefully, lol).

6 - As soon as this trailer hits...

the hype machine will officially be in full effect. I am pretty amped for this trailer, though, it better beat Resistance 1 by a mile. I hope they centralize the story around Nathan Hale a lot more, and I they need to make it totally first person around him. I don't want any more narrator lady in Resistance 2.

why the hell does everyone hate the girl i really liked the girl(her accent). I would like less pictured cut scenes and more full motion cut scenes. Glad they are using mo cap now because the animations from the first sucked ballz. Human animations at least.

@Blast. My thoughts exactly. I really don't see how that guy can carry the story himself. He just seems like a follow orders kind of soldier. No personality really. Hopefully he won't be cheesy trying to force lines that don't fit

I liked the girl too. I'm kinda at odds with Insomniacs decision to make tell the story with a 1st person point of view. Nathan Hale looks kinda generic to me, based on wat we've seen. Maybe they'll give him some catchy personality.

One other thing to consider would be an announcement or trailer for Ratchet: Quest for Booty - most likely coming out 7/08 so that would make a little more sense to get the hype rolling for that. But with the rumors of the Resistance 2 trailer going live when the PS Store relaunches that would make sense too. Either way, I'll be a very happy person.

Damn, Finally we will see some game footage(hopefully). Most importantly I am interested in the graphically/technical leap that Ted Price mentioned they will have in there game from Ratchet. 11th April can't come any sooner. Anybody remembers the leaked schedule list for Playstation store, I guess its turning out to be more then just a rumor.

I'm probably gonna get some disagree's but i don't much care about Resistance 2. The story in Resistance: Fall of Man felt under developed and forced. I know the chick was primarily telling it from her view but it still didn't quite come off good. I liked the weapon design in the good and the top notch A.I but other than that the game was average. 64 player multiplayer online doesn't excite me and neither does the 8 player online co-op. Sure it's impressive but i can care less for it. It'll probably be a good game but the first just didn't grasp me enough to want to buy the sequel.

I agree with you on the story telling part. They have promised that there will be more emphasis on story then the previous game as well as the narrative will also be in first person, like Half-Life 2. The game will be a technical achievement on consoles, if they deliver on the promises. We all know that Insomniac always delivers on there promise. First one started off to a really slow start and then gained the momentum almost halfway through, this one is said to start with a bang;)
Keep your finger crossed mate, you may end up liking it;)

I know it was a launch title but people (by that i mean my friends) said it was such a good game with a "deep storyline". Which to me it wasn't, i don't know if there's a demo available i might try it out. I'm not renting because i hate renting games i'd rather buy a game than rent.

@jkhan: I agree insomniac pulled off some good stuff with ratchet and clank i was surprised playing the demo. But please don't compare a game to HL2 if you want to persuade me it'll have a good storyline. HL2 has no storyline and the way it's told (the little bit of it) is in a horrible fashion. Gordon Freeman seemed so.... Lifeless and uninspiring played HL2. The entire game felt like a game of hide and seek with guns and a few crappy physics puzzles. Unlike the masterpiece which is Deus Ex.

Well I didn't say Half-Life 2 had a great story. The story was good but its narrative structure is still considered as one of the best. Resistance 2 narrative structure will be like half-life 2;)

Hmmm Narrative structure, you mean other people telling you whats happening in game ala Deus Ex? I thought i read R2 will be in first person as far as storytelling goes (from Hale's point of view). I don't know the story still didn't grasp me enough. I'll give the demo a shot though i guess.

you have to consider the first one was a launch title.
Insomniac has had more time to really use the potential of the PS3.

Insomniac and Sony opting to give GTTV Exclusive rights to the first Resistance 2 Trailer before anyone...

If anything I figured they'd save it for the PStore redesign or even possibly as late as E3 for a complete unveiling.

Either way it's win-win for me

EDIT: It just occurred to me that the Ratchet & Clan PSN game hasn't been "Officially" Announced yet, that could be it.
