I play my PSP in "waves" - I'll go months without playing it, then play almost nothing BUT it for a month.
I guarantee that its potential as a portable emulator platform - if nothing else - means I'll be playing it long after I stop playing my 360.

PSP is really great, I have both DS and PSP and the PSP XMB interface is so much better than the DS one. Like for example you can exit the game to XMB in PSP, with the DS you have to switch off the DS. Plus then you can't do anything with it on it's OS.
Also the games are not very good, there are a lot, but they aren't good enough. Zelda is by far the best game out and it's very good, and uses the touch screen very well. Most of the other games don't use the touch screen well (e.g. pokemon). Plus some of the best games are on PSP like Jeanne D'Arc, God Of War, FF7 (I'm pretty sure these rival boring old pokemon)

Why does something have to be wrong with it, it just sounds like he prefers one over the other. I don't personally have one but the last time I checked places like gamestop had trouble keeping them in stock.

6 - Well...
It did suck for a while. I bought it at launch and my kids didn't care much for it after that. The games just weren't very good. But now its starting to get really good games. It reminds me of the PS3... sloooow at first, but starting to show what it can do. 360 and DS still for my kids, but they're starting to play with the PS3 and PSP again.

What is with all the PSP hate the world wide sales of the PSP is 31 million to the DS 64 million. So lots of people like it. I just would love to see these articles go away. Yes it may not be the king of the handhelds but does it really need to be. So selling 31 million PSPs is pretty good. So why the hate. I just want to know that.

I'm starting to pay attention to my PSP a LOT more. The remote-play functionality is awesome too!

11 - It's very subjective.
To him it may have not lived up to the hype and it did have a rocky start, but the fact remains that the PSP is the only handheld I use the most out of all the ones we have in the house.
The game playing, movie watching, music listening, and remote play have made this a very intricate piece of hi-tech for me to own. PLus since I upgraded to the new version being able to play games and movies through my Home entertainment center has really added value to me.
So my subjective opinion is that it has lived up to the hype I created around it and actually passed some of my expectations.

You get what you pay for...its not the PSP's fault if you dont use the features or even buy the good games. Its like buying a hummer and not being much of a driver let alone an enthusiast
