MHP2G First Day in Japan - 670k Sold

Monster Hunter Portable 2G delivers a monstrous opening day. The previous installment was only 512k first day. Of the 670k, 17k were the bundled version, so expect a good rise in the PSP numbers for the upcoming week.

Based on these sales the developer needs to reconsider Monster Hunter 3 on the Wii and make it exclusively for the Sony Computer Entertainment PlayStation 3.

would boycott a good product from a foreign country.
western games are not crap,they just don't correspond to
what japanese gamers expect from a game,now if you want
to believe that japan is impervious to quality western titles,
you are ignoring the facts and figures,if you think they are stupid,

You know, i was recently looking through my game collection and i realised that i own every single Monster Hunter game. And i do not know why the hell i do. I mean they're pretty cool games, but im not particularly a huge fan of them or anything. My first Monster Hunter on psp was great though, i loved that. The graphics are great too. I also get to a certain points in the games and stop to never play it again. Like in Monster Hunter 2, i got as far as creating my character and i haven't played it since lol. Dunno what it is about this series, but i do like it

but when you buy a game, play it for one hour and never play it again, i don't think that warrents buying another one in the series. Their cool and all, i enjoyed the first one on psp, but,...you know. Besides im not buying a brand new console just for one game i'll barely play, because i know that's what you were implying

Your initial comment made it sound like you played the games for a fair amount of time, just never finished them. If that's truly not the case, then I agree that MH3 definitely shouldn't be the reason to buy a new console.

8 - lol man capcom sucks
this game would be a much better fit on the ps3 since it actually has a network when compare to the wii, also graphics here would probably be at a premium all depending on capcom's efforts, online is free and sony's got the whole 4 c's thing going on which would only make a lot of sense for capcom to just bring it to the ps3, but of course in my opinion capcom has never been a true sony backer for any of their platforms all they ever give us is countless remakes and bad ports, again thats my personal opinion so don't go trashing me on this.

also i do realize the wii has a bigger user base, but honestly when games like yakuza 3 prove other wise with its sales the only thing that comes to my mind is capcom's salary and what they want or cant afford to spend on a project to a certain console which might cost them a lot to make a game on. its simple the wii is extremely cheap to develop for, therefore the risk isn't even noticeable at times but the ps3 to them might take ages to work on and since they have prove to me to be like laze like EA, they would say to themselves why bother.

but to me it sounds as if, the ps3 was of course the original intended console for this project not the wii, capcom has lost all its respects from me, first devil may cry, now this? thank god i haven't bought one of there games in ages, the only thing ill buy from them is something with street fighter label on it. and its not that i wont buy there games cuz they aren't exclusive to sony, its because i know they like EA aren't trying anymore. SO WHY SHOULD I BUY ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS?

man o man where are your financial balls at? capcom you have to be more like squarenix or konami and learn how to stand by your product and take risks.
