Ready At Dawn: No God of War: Chains of Olympus PS2 Port
22
Ready At Dawn write: "Moving forward, we can confirm that Chains of Olympus will be our last PSP game as we're moving on to other projects and other ideas on other consoles. We can also confirm that this will be our first and last God of War game as, just like Daxter before it, there will NOT be a PS2 port of the game. We like our games PSP exclusives :)"

1 - No more PSP games?? But they rock on it!
I wonder what other titles they're working on though. I know they want to release an original IP, but I suspect they're also involved with God of War 3. Sony doesn't have an iron grip on this studio, so I believe they're allowed to work on any platform of their choice. Maybe a 360 title?

I heard a rumor that they were helping with Twisted Metal for PSP. But is just a rumor now so who knows.

Keeping the game PSP exclusive is a smart move.

2.1 - yes very smart
they should have kept the GTA: Stories games exclusive to the PSP too. these are very good games and having them only on the PSP forces people to pick one up.
i'm trying to finish it up tonight.

I stopped reading the surfergirl stuff a long time ago. Good to know other people have realized that she is wrong.

I don't know where Surfer Girl got her information, perhaps the original plan was to port the game to the PS2, but I am glad I bought this game for my PSP. The demo was good, but glitched a lot (I played the game off of the memory card). The full game has none of these problems.

I honestly don't believe them...I'll give it 12 months before Sony has them or someone else port this over...When you have big budget game like this and you got a chance to rake in a few more million you go ahead and port this...

If you don't have a PSP, it doesn't mean they're obligated to cater to the PS2 crowd.
It's just like any other exclusive game. If you want to play an exclusive you have to get the system it's on, simple.

10 - from what i've read in a recent Playstation Mag
Ready at Dawn are doing research for a Playstation 3 exclusive.
whatever it is they are working on, they have a new fan, and i'll follow their work fervently.
i loved Daxter, and i'm currently playing through Chains of Olympus, and both are *FANTASTIC PSP games. CoO is particularly amazing, in that it truly does feel like God of War in the palm of your hand, but it's no less as epic.
the vistas and draw distances in that game are *AMAZING! and the gameplay is *SPOT ON, classic God of War. it doesn't deserve anything *LESS than a 9/10, and GoW fans will not be disappointed.

Aren't they doing Okami for the Wii too? Maybe they just want to do an original IP.

11.1 - yeah, they're also doing Okami for the Wii
which i didn't know until a week or so ago. doesn't matter to me, since i have Okami on the PS2, but it's great that the Wii port is in such capable hands.
Ready At Dawn is most certainly a studio worth keeping an eye on.
