Winning Eleven Scores In Japanese Top Ten

Konami has achieved its second Japanese number one video game in three weeks, again sports-related, with the release of J-League Winning Eleven 2007: Club Championship.

The release is only a relatively minor one in the series, though, and unlike the core numbered entries in the series will not be adapted for release in Europe as part of the Pro Evolution Soccer series. Nevertheless the PlayStation 2 game achieved impressive sales of 150,000 in an otherwise quiet week for new releases.
