Square Enix Remaking Games For PlayStation Network?

Remember about a week and a half ago, that EGM rumor stating that a Japanese publisher is remaking classics for the PLAYSTATION Network? Well, Square Enix just may be that publisher.

On Surfer Girl's (the girl with the inside scoop) blogger site, a commenter asked if she knew the company remaking classics for the PLAYSTATION Network. She simply replied "Square Enix".

Could we be seeing enhanced versions of Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy Tactics soon on the PLAYSTATION Network? Let's hope that leads into a Final Fantasy VII remake.

Seriously...Square Enix could single handedly boost Playstation sells on their own with all the classic games they've brought out. Squaresoft was incredible

FF8 is one of my favourites. I wasted many hours doing the card games. I managed to get all the cards have 70 hours. I have planned to record the movie parts before the disk got damaged.

As much as I wanted one for the FF6 handheld version, I didn't buy one. Alot of people would buy Square-Enix games if they ever released over PSN, that's guaranteed.

I wonder which version would arrive the ones releasing on handhelds or the original ones...

Yeah but things like the first couple of final fantasys that have been receiving cinemas and extras could enter in the deal but well id be happy either way especially for things like FFT since it would allow a much better multiplayer than the portable version.

Just kidding...you're missing out man. FF7 is usually the fan favorite, but if you're a first timer you'd probably complain about how the characters look. If you want to start in the series though, I'd suggest FF3 on SNES or FF8. If you can hang with those, welcome to the FF train.

If you like story and a good battle system look no further that FF7, or chrono trigger. If your looking for Lots and lots of stuff to do, look no further than FF8 or FF9. Those games are loaded with stuff. FF8 has the better story IMO.

I would actually really recommend FFX. Not saying its the best, but it is IMO the most underrated of the FF games. (FF VII was a pain to move around and climb ladders) It still has great graphics even for today. The battle system is fun and the character designs are cool or "Western enough" for new players. The story about sin is top notch and worth seeing. Whats cool is you could really start anywhere in FF since none are connected. I got my ex playing rpgs by showing her FFX.

Why would they remake Tactics? They just remade it a couple of months ago for the PSP.

Anyways... awesome news if true. Hopefully they keep to the basics and don't change too much. Keep the classics classic. I love the idea of a remake, but i have seen so many remakes gone wrong, and I don't want that happening to my favorite games.

I trust Squeenix to do a nice job though.
