Beijing 2008 snubs Nintendo

Sega's upcoming take on the Summer Olympic Games will not be available on Nintendo formats. This is something of a blow to China, who are trying to raise awareness of their capital city prior to the event.

"SEGA clearly thinks the Wii and the DS are just for kids. The upcoming sports minigame adaptation of the next Summer games will be available for the Xbox 360, the PS3, and the PC – but not the Wii or the DS."

i guess SEGA wants the playable characters to have heads, arms, and legs that LOOK like real heads, arms, and legs.

There already is a Olympic game for Wii, and I bet that was why it hasn't been developed for the Nintendo platforms. It's purely economic.

Well probably because Sega doesn't think that they should have 2 Olympic type games on the system. Wii already has a version. This is more like Sega throwing Sony and MS a bone.
