3 New Maps for UT3 for the PS3

Here is Three New Maps for the PS3 version of Unreal Tournament III(3).

The First Map is Call Bathroom, the second map is called Dome of Mud, and the third map is called FeelGoodINC.

I will like to say thanks to "impatientfire" from gametrailer.com. I wouldn't have been able to create this story with his post.

1 - Haven't downloaded the FeelGoodInc and Dome of Mud yet

Did try out the Bathroom with Action Cam. It was interesting. It was like "Honey I shrunk the Kids" but with guns.

EDIT: Another new map in BETA. It's Fractal.

You know. the maps just keeps on coming. by the end of the year or even month we'll probably reach over several hundred of these!

I'm not a huge FPS fan, but the modding possibilities are slowly converting me to buying UT3 when it hits the UK. So far, for those with the game, do you think there is even one mod that is noteworthy yet? Or is the whole modding-for-console thing going to be a bit of a long-term project that doesn't bear really good fruits until a few months, or maybe even a year, down the line?

With the moding this game never gets old. I am curious, though, if we'll ever see a warfare mod. That would be interesting. Also, since they announced the ps3 tools, these 3 new mods and the ActionCam popped up immediately. The mods grow fast. No need to wait a month or year. It's here now.

10.1 - easiest way is ut3mod.com

you can download the mods directly to your PS3 using the PS3's web browser, but you have to use your PC first.

step one, you need to create a directory on a USB flash drive, or memory stick, or external hard drive (which i use).

it must be in all caps, as that's the only way the PS3 will recognize the file.

the first directory should be

PS3

the second

SAVE DATA

the third directory should be

BLUS30086-MODIMPORT

inside of *THAT directory is where you will be installing the mod from ut3mod.com

your paths should look like this

PS3 > SAVE DATA > BLUS30086-MODIMPORT

once this folder is created (whether on the USB flash drive, external HDD, or memory stick), connect the device to your PS3.

using your Playstation 3's web browser, head to www.ut3mod.com.

once there, you click on the link that says, "PS3 DOWNLOAD LINK"

this should bring up the download screen on the browser, and whatever connected storage device should appear in the menu.

locate the folder named "PS3" on the storage device

then enter the "SAVE DATA" folder

when the directory reaches the "BLUS30086-MODIMPORT" ; folder, choose to save the mod.

it will save the mod to that folder.

now exit the web browser, and boot up Unreal Tournament 3.

once in UT3, go to the "Community" option, and then to "My Content."

once in "My Content," press the "SQUARE" button to bring up the import menu, and select the device in which your mod has been saved (USB flash drive, external HDD, or memory stick). just select it, and UT3 will find the folder directory and ask if you want to install the mod.

select "Yes," and it will begin to copy the mod from the folder. once that's complete, exit, and UT3 will unpack the mod and install it. it should then appear in the "My Content" menu.

hope that helps, though i know there are better tutorials if you look.

Make sure to not have a space in between "SAVEDATA" the guide above has it "SAVE DATA" which won't work it has to be "SAVEDATA".

My first thought was, "Where the heck am I". I'm floored by the possibilities. Within 6 months you'll see all the Gears maps on UT3 as well as a mutator for some sort of cover system. Action cam is already covered and works very well.

The bathroom level is pretty extensive. When you first jump into the game you're going to think it's pretty plain but there's tunnels and you can get to top of the medicine cabinet, the shower curtain hanger, and the top the bathroom door. Too bad you can't get out of the toilet. The only way out is a long way down the drain.

When I first got this game I thought it was a little over rated. I'm going to have to swallow my pride and say I was wrong. I didn't realize what Mark Reign was saying when he talked about the mod community being so important.I just played the 3rd person mutator mod last night and it blew my mind. The graphics presentation is so much more impressive. I also wrote a long time ago that I thought Gears graphics where still quite a bit better. I'm going to have to swallow my pride and say I was wrong about that as well. AMAZING what a tweak of the camera can do. I can't imagine playing with the old FPS mode. Anyways, if you have not yet. Go out and get this game! NOW!

it should definitely work.

i installed it that way, and it works perfectly!

i love the 3rd person cam (never was a huge fan of First Person Shooters, but i picked up Unreal Tournament 3 primarily because of the mod support; i haven't been disappointed with the game in either case).
