I can see no difference. Hey, wouldn't it be funny if someone made one of these comparison videos, but instead of actually showing footage from the two versions side-by-side, used footage from just one version and drew a black line down the middle and then observed the comments of hoards of inexplicably biased pre-teens? Wouldn't it?!

2.5 - PS3 looks better

Compare the flashes when the sword hits the enemy. you can tell that they are using more cpu on the PS3 version because there is more detail in the effect. To me that was the biggest difference, but the PS3 version also has better lighting.

i do agree with one repliers comment. why feed the fanboi arguments with all these vs. movies? especially since that poster commented on how they wont allow the arguments on their site's forums. (i dont cruise their forums, but im trusting his knowledge and the others that agreed with him). its kinda contradictory of them.

I think the point is...$ony said the PS3 was going to make the 360 look like 1.5...ANYONE REMEMBER THAT....Yet now it is "Well they look the same so who cares" I want to see these games that make the 360 look like 1.5 instead of the same thing...

The video does show them both looking the same...I wont argue that...I just feel we should be seeing leaps and bounds in these comparison video's.....

I didn't notice any differences from that video... doesn't matter to me, I'm still gonna pick it up on the PS3 even if it's better or worse than the 360 version only because I have the previous 3 on the PS2 and it would feel weird having a set where you need two separate systems to play the (current) entire series. =)

The 360's textures and colors are just a tad more sharp but the PS3 version has better framerate. Overall the 360 FTW, I hope they fix the framerate when released.

You know your right, I thought it was the 360 version that stopped but your right, They switched fast and my eye just missed it, thanks. So the 360 version does have better framerate, color and texture. Damn and I almost gave one to the other side.

So does this mean that on the 4th playthrough on the ps3 we'll realize to our hearts dismay that we're really not getting as good an experience as we would on the 360 because of the framerate? And I'm curious, did you count the frames in one second when you compared the framerates? That's impressive.

Wow, so a game that was gimped to run on the 360 looks like the 360 version???

Shocking!

Capcom needs to stop crying about how they aren't being treated fairly. They have no one else to blame but themselves. They made the decision to use the crappy last gen looking Lost Planet engine instead of a real next gen engine.

Capcom dug their own grave with this graphical basketcase and now they are suffering the consequences. They better pray no God of War 3 screenshots or videos come out before this turd hits the shelves...

I started to watch it and I immediately recognised the Gametrailers trademark when comparing PS3 games. Low contrast. They need to go to Devices, Display, and enable it to full colour using that option (cant remember the name).

I guarantee you the PS3 version looks better than it does via Gametrailers. I used to trust them but I don't, they simply need to recognise these comparisons are irrelevant if they fail to optimise the PS3's display settings to show the game how its meant to run.

I would seriously report this and future submissions of comparisons done by this site, because I consider it "fake". PS3 games look better than GT suggests with these comparisons.

No. The default settings of the PS3, under the display settings, has an option to increase video output to make full use of the connection. Its set to Limited by default for some reason. When I set it to FULL, the colours were darker, and more vivid making the visuals look alot better.

RGB Full Range (HDMI)

I'm not saying by doing this the visuals will look better than the 360, I do not know I haven't tested, but I know that when you do this, the PS3 visuals no longer looked washed out, which is what GT show all the fricking time to the world.
