Seriously though dont be a fan boy. it's not "do or die" for any system. They will all be fine and if not I still get a ton of good exclusives for all my consoles. With Sony's PSP and PS2 sales the PS dept wont be lacking money I think to help carry the PS3 for a long time... Until BR catches on like mad. I feel after people get a ton of HD TV's for Xmas they will be wanting BR players to go with their new TV's or TV's to go with their gaming rigs...

I find it odd that you signed up over 2 weeks ago and just started using the account yesterday to troll. Jack T (President of Sonys gaming division) and with in 24 hours you are already nearing the 40 person ignore mark.

Why do people like you create accounts just to stir up nonsense on a gaming forum? You are an extremely sad individual and you bring down what could be a decent place to "discuss" our games with one another instead of having to deal with crap like this.

I'd bet all my consoles and electronics I own that guys like you don't even own gaming consoles. That trolling the net to pick fights is your game.

So what is so different between 2008 and 2007??? Lair, Genji, Untold Legends, NBA 08, Folklore, Heavenly Sword, Eye of Judgement, etc... were all crap. So what makes you think the exclusives in 2008 will be any better???

Software sales is what makes the real money in the gaming biz and the ps3 isn't cutting it. Uncharted has completely failed. UT3 sold 70,000 it its first week. That's called a sales flop kiddies. So why is 2008 all of a sudden going to magically fix everything??? MGS and GT will definitely help but all the other games you always like to mention in your ps3 lists are probably going to be another failure.

Come on man, don`t go all green here ;) Uncharted is a great game, as is Ratchet and Heavenly Sword, even though the last one was a bit too short as most people will agree on. Let`s wait and see until after christmas before we conclude how they and UT3 sold.

MGS4 and GT5 will help ? Yeah i would think so. LBP is going to be massive. Killzone 2 could be great, as could Home, The Getaway, Infamous, Echochrome. Resistance 2 and Motorstorm 2, i would suspect would do "alright" in the sales department. Wipeout should be first class fun. And i havn`t even mentioned any third party stuff, let alone the games Sony hasn`t announced yet themselves, (will GoW3 make it in 2008 by the way ?) and third party exclusives (like Rockstar`s secret project)

Trust me, 2008 won`t be a bad year for the PS3. Stop saying games suck because of the platform they`re on, and judge the games for themselves. Or if that`s troubling, pretend they`re on "your" console. Seems to work for Mart ;)

there are some huge differences between the games you named and the games comming in 2008:

-when the games release the ps3 install base will be much higher than at the time when the games you named released.

-the marketing of these games will not be on low-key like these games that you named.

-ps3 wasnt marketed on the wide-scale that 180 and wii were, sony is just now marketing like its supposed to.

-the games in 2008 are actual proven, original playstation ONLY franchises, the only original exclusive this year was ratchet and clank, and that wasnt marketed near HALO 3 level.

-HYPE, that is worth it

-there are so many of the playstation 2 fanbase awaiting metal gear 4 alone just to get a ps3, and note this game will not be availible on ps2, as well as any other platform, so no choice but to buy a ps3.

-there are millions of people from all platforms awaiting Killzone 2, this is a HUGE system seller

-there are millions of ps2 fanbase waiting for FF13 and versus, expect ps3 to traumatize the competition with these games

-the games of 2008 are cg level for ps3 that is, in realtime people that dont even play games will be wanting a ps3 just for a chance to play them.

-the games of 2008 for ps3 will have no criticism cause they will be beyond the e3 2005 presentation, no more "sony lied"

-WARDEVIL(movie game realtime)

-Eight Days

youll see, the ps3 has already made drastic sales boosts, 2008 will make ps3 sales overflow

Ok so i just finished smoking. For real. Was going to anyway. What i can say is this. Sony needs to stop making PS2's and games for it. I think its hurting PS3 sales. It has to be when PS2 sales dominate the charts. I also believe that when MGS4 releases that hardware sales will see a dramatic boost. Same with the others. And please remember, PS1 and PS2 had the same exact start the PS3 did. Some of you guys are too young to remember. The PS3 will do well. I cant wait for 08.

What happend to "look forward to these games" like it used to be?
Now all I see is "Let your fanboyism run wild!" (reading between the lines)

And yes I am a gamer and yes I plan on buying another next gen console when I'm convinced to own more than one console thats not based around "weekly hardware sales" or "hyped" stories about games that take no skill to beat (not trying to dis anyone or start a flamewar just I see a lot of posts these days going on about nothing we already don't know).
