Lastly, the report notes that Sony has stopped the production of Eye of Judgment card packages in Japan.

it brought a new genre to consoles.

not to sound like an ass, but if it had gone to other systems or used a diff mechanism that DIDN'T have to involve buying a contraption like the camera, it could have maybe survived.

from what I know, the genre will still be alive. Its uncertain but apparently Lord of Vermillion is coming the PS3, and if I remember right, thats a card game.

I think you are missing the whole point of the game. You obviously have not played it.
Suggesting that this badly translated piece of news means a product has failed, is bit of an assumption, and I wouldn't be at all suprised to learn that its a wrong assumption.

Whilst you would not expect such niche product to sell in anything like the numbers of, say ratchet or Drakes', the sales and reviews have been very positive and its a title that likely to have some 'legs' too. There seems to be plenty of buying and selling of cards on ebay to suggest there are plenty of people playing and enjoying it at least.
I got it as a way of getting the camera early - I video chat with mates who are a long distance away, and I prefer using the noise cancelling mic in online matches to using a blu tooth headset.I have actually been suprised by how enjoyable the game is to play and still play a match or two and expect to for a very long time. Stratagey games have a long shelf life in this household!:)

5 - There is a Marvel based card game coming to the Eye as well.

Once again...pirates screw up a good thing...hopefully future card based games will use RFID and an RFID reader in the mat.

8 - There is a rumor that EOJ cards are stopped for a month

Because of many people copying cards. Which is why they should have made the cards barcode read only.

The thing is, copying cards for that game is kinda expensive. For example, your printer has to be of very high quality. But then again, plenty of people already had high quality pc items before they had EOJ so some piraters were already well prepared.

Another rumor is a bit closer to being fact. In japan, this game is picking up too slowly. While in America it has a decent showing. Which is odd. Most of us would have expected it to go the other way around.

The last rumor is one i personally believe is total BS.

The last rumor floating around is that they simply don't have enough supply to meet the demand. In the U.S., that MIGHT make sense. But in Japan, HELL NO.

In Japan, the rumor ran around that EOJ is ended. It was yesterday. The source of rumor is a blog of a man working in a local game shop. Today, it is announced as a fact in another gaming site. lol.

Why people writing column on the web site never check whether it is the fact?

Actually, in Japan, it is not ended regarding to the maker. They ordered new batch of print. It is not just arrived yet. Booster cards are sold out for 2 weeks or more. That's it. The EOJ game doesn't make a big hit in Japan, yet. However, EOJ players in Japan are buying cards really. It's fun game definitely. :)

10 - Did they stop stocking them,

or just stop printing? Because it's a big difference, and anyone that's worked in the printing industry will have a different view of it. Who knows how many boxes of cards had already been printed; it's not exactly something that most companies keep up for months on end, it's a print run that likely had quite a few cards produced, and they've stopped until supply hits a certain point. It may not ever hit that point if it doesn't sell well, but to try and tie the end of a print run into the failure of a game? Grasping at straws.
