It's not even remotely anti spanish. It's pathetic how they spin a simple joke aimed at the player as something hateful on Naughty Dog's part. And this comes from Kotaku. As much as people hate to come to terms with the fact that some sites simply have a bias against certain companies unfairly, Kotaku REALLY doesn't like Sony at all. They barely even tolerate the wii.

This was incredibly hilarious in the game, because I was playing this over my neighbor Rebecca's house who's puerto rican and asked her to translate it and she laughed. If it were in english would it be hateful against people who speak english? Come on now, this is Naughty Dog here.

uhhhh i don't think naughty dog meant this as a jab to spanish speakers, I think it is in spanish because the country or area where the story's setting is, is in a spanish speaking country. Its a jab to nerds who go around looking for easter eggs, and naughty dogs attention to detail by putting the jab in the native tounge of the games setting, just shows how badass of a developer they are.

27 - Good thing Kotaku isn't a newspaper, or they would get SUED.

It wasn't in insult to Spanish people.. if anyone played the game or knows the setting. You would realize that the ruins are on an Island that is somewhere in South America / Caribbeans. The Spanish text was their just to make atmosphere.. they expected someone to take the time to find and translate the text to their own language.

In this case, some moron on Kotaku thought it was in insult to the Spanish speaking people. But he didn't take the time to figure out it was in insult to his intelligence.
