Release Date for God of War Confirmed

TheGameReviews was recently able to get confirmation for the release of God of War 3. After speaking to the developers at the Video Game Awards, they confirmed with TheGameReviews, that the long assumed date of 2009.

I had to read this sentence like a million times, it doesn't make sense:

It seems like there is meant to be more information after 2009, like:

I'm pretty sure it'll come out March of 2009. All the GOW games come out in March.

I just realized this, but with the releases in March, it coincides with dates that fall within the zodiac Aries, which happens to be the Ram or in this context, the God of War. :)

3.1 - Prepare to be amazed

Graphically I think this game will truly show off what the PS3 can do. I expect nothing less from it (This is Sony's flagship title). I expect 1080p and 60fps.

I think they'll add the things they couldn't do on the PS2 to this version of GOW (like Giant Kratos fighting Giant Zeus).

expect him to kill zeus then get betrayed by the titans then go after them. Definetly gonna be epic. They MUST make a new engine for the game though. Don't upgrade ur ps2 engine jst make a new 1 PLEASE so it can take full power of the spu and ppe and wateva is under the ps3. Also i want it to be the longest. GOW games always felt like the right length to me but with next gen games, most games seem to be getting cut short.

I agree with your story logic....

and SCEA Santa Monica will definetly make a new Engine for this game no doubt about that..

and the only reason why games these days are short is because most devs are implementig Multi-player elements into the game which takes away from the Single players length

But GOW3 isn'about MP..so expect this game to be around 12-15hrs depending on the players skill....

The PS3 is going rule 2008 with Killzone 2, Burn Out Paradise, Little Big Planet, GTA IV, Metal Gear Solid 4, White Knight Story, Home, Fallout 3, Borderlands, Resistance 2, and DMC 4. And now it look like PS3 will rule 2009 with FF XIII FF XIII Versus, Infamous, and God of War 3

ps3 doesnt depend on only 1 game(like 360 with halo 3) but its always about the variaty of games!!

But Im pretty sure its not gonna be 1080p native...... COD 4 and uncharted proved that to me.

I was lead initially that it was gonna be true high res but after playing and viewing these two games and compared the resolution to high res pc games Im pretty sure its not gonna be native....
