DENGEKI confirmed that DMC x360 version has been cancelled for JAPAN .In Japan DMC 4 x360 wont even sell 50k copies.

PS3 version will sell over a million there as well as in EU

2008 sees total ps3 domination

Seriously ALL PS3 owners will get to enjoy this demo on the day one when the DMC4 demo comes out..As for the 360's owner they need to upgrade to gold to get it..lol..either that wait a week or two for it.I know it sucks to be a 360 owner and plus this game will crap out a lot of 360s.

This summer I was in Japan visiting my girlfriends relatives and I had the fortune (or misfortune) of trying out the DMC4 demo on a ps3 station tucked deep in "a hole in the wall" game shop in Akihabara.

Of course the DS section had completely overtaken the first floor and it was extremely hard to find my way upstairs to the ps2/psp/ps3 and 360 section, but I waded through and got there (somehow).

After flipping through a ninja gaiden demo and displaying my demo skills to the local japanese kids I decided to give a shot at testing out DMC4. Mind you I was only a huge fan of 1 and portions of 3, but I wasn't as attached to the series as most. I was actually in the game store looking for a psp game called Boxers Road 2 (which i didn't find).

So how was the demo? From my impressions of about 30 minutes with a 10 minute demo I came away somewhat unimpressed. The graphics were certainly nice, but I couldn't truly appreciate them with all the slowdowns. On top of that the character animations seemed boring and repetitive. Nothing like the newly released trailer so I'm pretty sure I was playing an extremely early build. The level design, which i believe will be kept in tact was sort of boring from a layout perspective, but impressive from a visual standpoint.

-Instead of interesting puzzles I had to use a zip line to get from one balcony to the other.

-Instead of flashy AND useful moves I just kept using the same combos as they seemed the most effective. (At this point I had a feeling the demo only allows you to use just a handful of moves)

+The Arm was certainly a cool add on. Probably the best part of the new character and combat system. There's nothing like slamming it down into the ground to back up a horde of enemies.

-The level layout was boring and extremely linear, but that's not really bad, just uneventful as a whole after coming off of God of War II, which at that point I had just completed.

+The visuals of the level I played were eye pleasing. It took me from a sort of castle looking market area, to a pier where I could see some of the water effects and enemies.

-Unfortunately there was a lot of slowdown, but i'm almost certain they'll fix that or have already fixed it by now.

But yea. The demo I played was pretty cool overall and i'm sure some DMC fans will be pleased, but from what I played I'll hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

You're an idiot. If you're referring to that article that was posted on N4G a while ago. It's obvious that the 360's powerpc architecture is easier to code for than the PS3's - but if coded for PS3 first, it is easy to trasnfer the code to the 360's architecture, it doesn't "outshine" the ps3 version if made for the PS3 first. Your 360 is already an outdated PC, the PS3's full potential hasn't even been used yet.

Btw, I would never play DMC on a 360 controller. No thanks.
