PS3 Assassin's Creed Rules in Spain, Crysis in Germany (Sales Charts)

The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed have charted in both Spain and Germany according to weekly sales data released by Media-Control GfK International.

For the week ending November 18, the PlayStation 3 version of Creed was number one in Spain and number four in Germany. The PS3 version sold more copies than the Xbox 360 version which came in at number five in both countries.

PS3 is doing great now, I'm so proud. (I think I'm gonna cry..lol) I knew day and date (good) releases on PS3 and 360 will sell well. Gone are the days of ports and 1/2 year delayed multi's. Thank you. It's fair now. EA, it's time to get it right now.

10 - After 2 years of Xbox 360 & 6 months of PS3, the PlayStation 3 has better market penetration in continental Europe.

These sales show that after 2 years of Xbox 360 (released in 2005), and the 6/7 months of Playstation 3 (released April 2007), Spain & Germany are quickly embracing the Sony console.

The PlayStation 3 was released in Europe one and a half years later than the Xbox 360. Despite the head start the 360 hasnt really managed to get a foothold (besides the UK) except with the more hardcore gamers. The USA is proud of Microsoft because it is an American brand. But continental Europe is different. They love techno music. They love PlayStation. Germany & Spain's taste are important players on the European map. Their taste represent a window on all of western Europe.

That's a pretty good indicator to come, and also shows why supporting the PS3 thru dev studios makes sense. EA should reconsider that, if they want to sell SW in Europe (or Japan).

Who would have thought that the PS3 is already at that level. I am pretty surprised. But IMO it shows also, the 360 is shooter crowd (which, OTHO is strange that the CoD4 PS3 outsells the 360 version, too) and when strong non shooters are available, the PS3 is competitive.

Good to see that the PS3 is selling more software...good for AC..atleast these figures will garauntee a sequel...hoping they get everything right next time around...the Desmond and Lucy part at the end is quite interesting...

Now Ms.Jade less interviews and photo shoots this time around focus on the feakin game..!!

I love when people who have no idea what they are talking about post and make fools of themselves. PS3 outsold Xbox in Europe 100,000 to 70,000 last week.

The UK and Australia seem to be the only places where the Xbox continues to stay ahead consistently. Singstar will change that...
