How To Stop Assassins Creed From Freezing And The Frame Rate Issues On The PS3

There seems to be an awful lot of people having problems with Assassins Creed, freezing and frame rate issues, well there is a fix you'll be glad to know, and its an easy one, all you have to do is disable the information board, press triangle on it and disable it and these problems should go away. I'm approving this, not because it's official, it's not.

I've done this from the beginning, and the Assassin's Creed experience for me has been frame smooth, and lockup-free. I'll attest to the fact that this works.

This is my setup from day 1...but it did lock up once on me..I was kill by a guard, and while I was at the loading screen, where you can move around, and all I can do is move around. I was at that loading screen for about 5 min and nothing happen. So I hit the ps button try to quit the game, then it give me 3 beep then restart the systm..

I've been called flat out a liar when discussing AC with buddies and how I've had no framerate issues and only 1 screen freeze. Now this pops up and I can't help but be skeptical, yet hopeful. I disabled the info bar day one, simply because I found little use currently for it. My wifi router has been down and I haven't been able to sign into PSN the entire time I've played AC. Could this be? Hell, it would explain a lot. Still won't help the repetitive gameplay and all around "meh" while playing.

been saying this since Friday, I've only played AC offline as it has no online features (my Mrs was out Friday/Sat so I left the router off and just played AC). I had lots of issues. Froze 3 times, lost objectives, graphic glitches, screentear, very annoying! I took it back in the end, wa snot by sort of game anyway, did not get any thrill/fun from it. I did think it was very atmospheric though.

I turned it off as soon as I saw it after the update, it is possibly the most pointless thing in the world, all the news is weeks old!! My advice would always be to dissable it anyway, whether you wanna play AC or not, which I dont btw.

Hey, stop being a jerk. I have the 360 version and take care of my 360. Never RROD'd or anything. But i have had frame rate issues. All i had to do was exit the world to the animus and re-enter and i was perfect. Your post makes it seem like that would be my fault.

Sounds sketchy to me. I had the information board off since it came out and my game managed to freeze up pretty good on me earlier today. It did that weird one where Altair freezes, but you can still move the camera around him. Only had the one problem so far though...

Another half-as* fix. We shouldn't have to sign out off anything and set our settings to whatever in order to get better results...This reminds me of the Skate fiasco...Maybe people experiencing problems play too much too long and are burning out their system....

Well I'll get my Assassin's Creed 'till wednesday when I'm back home (work trip,, you know), but still I see problems with the RSS aside from AC... I have download problems with RSS turned on and Warhawk connection problems also, but this occured only one time... I don't know if this is the problem, but that 2.01 update make me think "myabe"...

Using 360 version, zero problems at all, agreeing with the higher ratings than the lower ratings! One of the most enjoyable games ive played in a while! I have quite a juggling act at the moment! COD4, PES2008, Ratchet, Crysis, and next week Mass Effect! Then Drake`s! A great time to be an allround gamer (fanyboys need not apply).

So how does one prevent the lockups on firmware 1.94? Not that I've experienced any lockups at all with Assassin's Creed, but people with 1.94 have been complaining about freezing issues.

19 - hmmmmm.....my 360 does not seem to have any problems with assassins.

frame rate, so far no problems, it does get hiccups every now and then basically it's not worth the complaint.

To my knowledge ps3 just needs a simple patch.

unless this is physical prof that ps3 games need more time to make than 360, in which case their has been allot of ps3 games getting pushed back for that same matter.

ive disabled the information bar from the start and i dont sign into psn but its still locked up on me 3 times in the past 2 days, they should release the patch as this game is just to unstable.
