You know you should maybe consider the button is NOT broken as most likely!!! It's called diagnostics - look for the most likely solution

So if the button aint broke, and your pad bluetooth aint broke, and your ps3 bluetooth aint broke, then maybe FW 2.0 did something? I'm not saying you're wrong, but installing 2.0 firmware is probably quite low down the list of most likely culprits...

Do the lights flash? I have a similar problem in Warhawk, both controllers lock and will not unlock till they timeout. Its an interference problem, or bad programming

it never happened during a game, I usually shut off the ps3 via the PS button on the controller but it stopped working. The reset has not worked so I went to bestbuy and returned it, the new one works fine.

My controller were doing the same damn thang..i thought i was crazy but i guess and im glad that im not the only 1 that this is happening to. 2.0 is killing my controllers hahaha

oblivion is glitchy as f**k, one way i did find to stop it freezing was to not have so much stuff stored in chests, bookcases etc. Hasn't crashed in a few months since i sold all the unneeded stuff

1) ps3 games are on blu-ray discs so there is really no need to install much data on the HD

2) if you dont care about backwards compatiblity then it dont matter which ps3 you get.

3) in the end of the day it will still play ps3 games and blu-ray movies like its meant to be played on a ps3

good for you to get a 60gig, although you should have just gotten a 40 and upgraded the space. BC really isn't that important now with all the games coming day and date with Xbox 360. not to mention it's got plenty ofr first party exclusive and a few 3rd party exclusives coming between tomorrow and december 31st. enjoy it it's an awesome game

I recomend, Warhawk, Folkore, resistance, Heavenly Sword, motorstorm, Ninja Gaiden sigma, oblivion (if you like slow passed american RPGs) Darkness, Uncharted, Ratchet and clank, Guitar hero 3, COD4, and assassins creed, oh and if you have a hidden geek inside you like i do then the EYE OF JUDGEMENT( the most revolutionary game on the PS3 released thus far which is insanly addictive and makes you think and a marvel to look at should also be in your library of games on the bluray releases for PS3), and for the PSN, you'd be happy owning Tekken DR online, super stardust HD, puzzle fighter HD, Eye create from the PS eye camera, (i made a music video with it with a couple of my buddies yesterday it was fun) Flow and everyday shooter. and they're are others but they dont have the flair of those that i mentioned. and ofcoures you came when the PSN is getting plenty of content. like wallpares and themes, and music and tons of trailers game add ons expansion packs, PS1 classics that can be downloaded and played on both home with ps3 or on the go for PSP should you own a PSP and want to play like that, and best of all PS3 game demos. it's getting quite robust.

again happy PS3 gaming and if it's your first of the 2 next gen consoles out there the other(xbox 360) then i officially welcome yu to next gen and congrats on owning in what i consider the most cutting egde console this side of the galaxy ( the PS3) it's just my opinion though. ENJOY

I am a true gamer. I own all 3 consoles...

Ive just been drip fed good games on my 360 which I get most multiplatform games on like Call of Duty 4 with xbox live is amazing. Now im playing mario galaxy on the Wii (best platformer ever) and then next week I have mass effect for 360....

After that I may get around to trying Uncharted drakes fortune so hopefully I will be pleasently surprised... The main reason I have a ps3 is for GT5, MGS4, FF13, God of War 3 which are yet to be released....

Do you even know what a true gamer is? Owning all 3 systems doesn't make you anything. A true gamer likes games on all systems and can enjoy games on each system. When you say "I need a reason to turn on my PS3" that just proves that you aren't. Resistance, Warhawk, Ratchet, Uncharted, Folklore, Heavenly Sword, Eye of Judgment are quality, exclusive games and on shelves right now. Get your head out of your ass and stop pretending to be something you clearly aren't.

im not looking for any type of hurried advancement. i just want them to get what they are doing right. my ps3 has more problems now than before the update. an in game xmb would be really nice but id rather they take their time than messing up my ps3 with some rushed update. i just hope 2.01 comes out soon, no upgrades just fixes!
