4.2 - FW 2.0 makes my ps3 freeze up when i try to log onto PSN

so i dont even play online right now because of that... they need to freakin issue a FIRM ware fix because it's messing with my time online

there is no major problems with the firmware but i use my ps3 a lot at least 2hours a day min, so if something is not normal i can tell straight away. since updating my ps3 to fw2 its not been 100% its been more like 99.5% ok.

Finally getting Bowling... it's only been a year. I'm looking forward to it, though. So, it's alright. 10 bucks is way too steap, though. Toy home, which was garbage isn't going to sell, either. Pixle Junk anyone? These games are too expensive on the PSN. Sony must be really proud of them.

I must agree with you, Toy Home is the worst game on the PSN. I can't help but thinking that was the same Toy Commander Racing game that was on Dreamcast so long ago. Maybe I should investigate. ..

6 - FIRM WARE UPDATE 2.1 PLEASE

THATS all i wont so i can go back on line again my 2 week old ps3 was killed by the 2 firmware so all i would like is 2.1 bug fix please sony.what did i ever do to deserve this im missing out and carnt play my new game COD4 multi player ...anyone know when it might be comming please....

No one with a PS3 can play COD4 online, man. Well, some can... To date, did you know I still hafen't jumped online with it? I tried to connect 3 days straight and gave up and went back to Warhawk and Resistance. COD4 was an amazing game but I don't need it online anyways... Too many games are online. They need to just have a few staple games online so the others don't get lost in the crowd, if you ask me.

Resistance, Warhawk, Unreal 3... Those are about the only games I could ever see myself playing online. Maybe some sports games if they got better and Tekken if they took the lag out of it. So, dont' feel bad...

6.2 - firmware 2.00 isnt cause COD4 issues..

...as far as i know the COD problems are down to lack of servers, simple as that. mines been fine for the last few days, well since the weekend infact. give it another try, where are you getting stuck?

Since i updated i cant go online with out my system freeze up on me and i have to restart and then disable my internet settings. so yeah FW 2.1 is really needed for me because i cant go online with out it freezing up on me.

8 - IF YOU GUYS DONT KNOW

if you guys dont know already the last firmware update is killing new and old ps3s 18 have been returned to my local game shop since last weekend mine was only 2 weeks old and it stoped playing discs game ones and blue rays the sony fourms are all full of this news its happening all over uk ..usa..and so on .. i phoned sony service center 2 times already and they know about the problemb one so rep told me that the update 2.1 should hit soon as to many ps3s are now afected..on the official sony site they took all the threads about this of to try and cover it up and keep it quiet because of bad publicity so if you are having problembs with your ps3 i would advise you not to use it untill the update 2.1 thats what the SONY REP himself told me....as regaurds to cod4 i didnt know thier was a problem playing it online acording to the news on this site it was surposed to be fixed...if you dont at least play this online your really missing out..

MY PS3 is freezing up everytime i try to log on line to play my PS games online. especially warhawk. it's preventing me from even just logging on to to check my buddy list, and if it does, it freezes up right after a log on.... so like right now the only remedy i can do is disable my internet connection and play offline. if you Doubt me

MY PS3 PSN ID is SEVIREDgamer. mighty Douche and deep and have seen me online and even madden. as of right now i cant log on at all. it's sad because i'm seriously missing out on COD and some EYE of JUGDMENT online sanction battles.

There is a real problem with Firmware 2.0, it crashed while I was logged into the PSN and suddenly won't let me back in no matter what. After a while I rebooted my router and turn off my PS3 for a few hours. Next time I tried it...boom, everything is back to normal.

The only way FW 2.0 could totally lock up your PS3 is if you screwed up somehow during the install.

9 - COD4 online suggestions

I dont know what connection your guys are using but do a network settings test. Most importantly get your NAT type. If its on 3 you wont be able to jump online. I had problems with this but not its fixed and i can go online easily. Just a suggestion.

as i'm having similar problems with it. my PS3 freezes when i tried going online. and this was after i updated to 2.0 while it's not every PS3 thats affected mines is one of the unfortunate PS3's that have been affected by it. and i'm abit upset. but Sony always issues a network fix for it VIA FW so i need that FW 2.1 ecause i cant stand not being able to go online. it's were it's at. and o did you get EYE of JUDGEMENT. that game rocks. if it's possible add me to your PSN
