Really, such comparisons are pointless for anyone but the most anal. Unless there are clear and obvious differences -- something tangible that we can actually see with surety -- then I can't see the point in this sort of post, barring as an opening for the following:

Looks like both systems have a pretty similar looking game. If you like the look of it, go buy it already.

Personally, I will be buying it -- although, not at launch day. I'll wait for Christmas or my birthday (Dec. 6th).

The contrast on the tv is really high for the PS3 version, and its so obvious. Ive seen PS3 gameplay and no wasy does it look that washed out.

PS games have always suffered a 'washed out' look to them and considering the 360 gpu is far more advanced its no surprise the 360 version looks better.

You can see more detail on the buildings and look at the hay its more detailed in the 360 version.

you can say that about the wall textures

but look at the second to the last image.

look at the freaking grass. the difference is there, and that's not the brightness, it looks like it has completely different textures, the 360 version is way more detailed and realistic.

29 - Why does the PS3 "allllllways" have washed out color?

It's like the better looking the game the more black and white it becomes. Look at Killzone, MGS4, GRAW, UT3, Rainbow, LAIR, or HS. I swear by the time the PS3 reaches 3yrs old all the games could bw played on a 1950s B&W TV set.

i keep seeing you guys post about the "washed" out look. but supposedly every ps3 game has that? all the games on my 46" samsung 1080p tv look just fine. infact, they look as contrasted as it's supposed to be. and there's a setting called RGB full Range that should be turned on. so contrast isn't a big deal.

secondly, who the hell said that the PS3 version doesn't have HDR? HDR is a lighting technique, not a damn noun you moron. See the lighting in Uncharted, the PS3 does HDR lighting just fine.

Secondly, doesn't anybody else notice that the 360 actually has more jaggies? The differences are due to the hardware. The 360 has lack of HD space, so it wont cache as much data to smoothen out those edges. While the PS3 has lack of memory which is hurting the frame rates. Each version has it's flaws and it's benefits. To be honest, the differences are so F'in minimal it doesn't matter anyway.

34 - These comparisons are getting a bit ridiculous.

PS3 and XBOX360 will NEVER have same graphics in a game. They both use 2 different technologies to render graphics. One uses DirectX the other OpenGL.

Think in PC terms. Lets use a game that Im familiar with, Counter-Strike. I know that game looked better if you had an ATI card over a NVidia.

Lets all stop this stupid fanboy crap. PS3 has its advantages over 360 and vice versa. The graphics ARE even between the 2. The only reason PS3 used to have bad graphics was because games were ports. Now that games are being developed simultaneously, this is no longer an issue.

The argument that 360 has more memory is stupid as well. 360 has 512 MB of SHARED memory between the GPU and CPU. Do really think the GPU EVER sees 512 of that? PS3 has 256 MB of dedicated RAM with an additional what 194(?) that it can use of the 256 XDR (35GBPS) RAM. So really they are about even. Memory is not the only or even the major determining factor of the performance of a video card.

So stop with the bickering. Graphics are the same with minor differences based on personal preference. Adjust the contrast on ur TV if its that big of a deal.
