Gametap reviews Uncharted: Unreal what? Epic who? Naughty Dog totally has this next-gen thing figured out.

Gametap writes:
"This game is one of the most immersive gaming experiences I've had this year, and it's definitely a great reason to own a PS3. The mix of platforming and gunplay worked really well and left me craving the next title in the series. Hear that, Naughty Dog? Get to work!"

Pros: Amazing visuals, specifically the textures; detailed animations that play out in so many cool ways; smart refinement of the Resident Evil 4/Gears of War gun mechanics.

Cons: The swinging mechanic is kind of obnoxious; brutal melee is hard to pull off in a frenzy of fighting; there's an interesting element that's introduced that I would have liked to have seen more of.

If 2 or 3 more games like this come out I'll buy a PS3.

Edit: I've held off on the PS3 for a couple of reasons...#1 price but that's being taken care of. I've also never been a big fan of the Japanese style games, the Final Fantasy's, Ratchet type platformers and the MGS's. I also thought GTA was boring. I like the kind of games the developers are making for the 360, mostly shooters with a strong online component and Western RPG's. Does that make me close-minded? Maybe. But Uncharted is the first game that really intrigues me...it's kind of a hybrid, taking the best of different types of games. If KZ 2 can live up to the hype that would be a buy for me as well.

your hard to please. I would of never bought a launch console ever had i thought like that, anyway good on ya. The demo was kool but once you get your ps3 you'll understand why some people think some sites or reviewers from sites are bias, corrupt or generally crap at their jobs. Just make sure you get to play resistance. I single that game out because it was a launch title and will definitely be enjoyed if your into fps's on console plus its now dirt cheap. Of course there are other good games worth playing.

I really hope this game does for the PS3 wat Gears did for the 360 in terms of hardware sales. Cuz having played the demo and hering the good reviews so far i think that this game shud reach the biggest audience it possibly can. This game is similar 2 gear in dat its unbelievable 2 see wat a dev. team can do with a system in its 1st year out, props 2 naughty dog 4 actually taking the time 2 make a solid game exp. 4 us gamers. Nov. 19 cant come any sooner, raise ur hand if ur gonna b broke after this month. lol.

true its wud have been nice 2 add UT3 to the killer line up this month but, imo id rather have a solid, working game later than a broken, unfinished game now. N e ways we got Uncharted, COD 4, and AC to hold us out until that frag fest come out.

So happy that the PS3 exclusive I was most apprehensive about has proven to be quite an excellent title. The only reason I was weary was because I didn't know how well the shooting would turn out but that demo is FUN. Bring on next week and bring on the sequel!!

All I kept thinking about was getting GT5 Demo, and now that I have that and the Uncharted Demo all I play on my PS3 is the Uncharted Demo.

I'm so fuking hooked on this Demo. Every time I play it it's never the same, and the attention to detail is unmatched by any other game I've played other than the GT games.

Seriously, anyone hating on this game has some serious issues. I've heard developers talk bullshiet before about how a game can only be done on this or that system, but this time a statement like that sticks to the PS3. I can't see the 360 pull off what Naughty Dog has done with Uncharted on the PS3.

I dont know if there is more but this game is looking damn good..

I smell game of the year runner.. Im glad this game is getting good reviews because it deserves it.. The only game that flopped for the ps3 this year was lair but i didnt have any high hopes for that game to start with..

If you dont own a ps3 is a great time to buy one, its cheaper, you have a bunch of awesome games to choose from and you have a bunch of blu ray movies too..
