You know... With the "bad" review from 1 up... I am wondering of late. Sooo many games are getting 10/10's and I am wondering if all these games really deserve it. Many of them are real fun and good for different reasons. Are they really innovative and "Next-Gen" I mean. If Bioshock came out Dec 20th do you think it would still be 10/10. It was a damn good game but with a foundation of good games out now is it really that good? Is Uncharted that impressive? Is Halo 3 as good as COD4?

AC looks fun but I think 1 up might be right. I think maybe a 7 is low but what is so amazing about this game? Design is good. Pacing looks spot on. Scale and Balance are all there... But will it still shine at all when God of War 3 is released? I doubt it. I think games are getting good scores a lot of the time simply due to the fact that they are nice "For now" until the next best thing is out. I mean is Ratchet and Clank really as good as Mario Galaxies. Dont get me wrong guys I love all the games I knocked. R&C is great, Halo is fun but with everyone adding just a little more each time are these games really as shiney as they appear at first?

I really dont know anymore. You guys can disagree with me if you like. I will be buying AC day 1 because I love the history of the Crusades and it looks cool for a number of reasons... Still though is it that amazing? I see it and I'm not on the edge of my chair. I'm calm and normal thinking "Looks good" but thats about it really... I hope I make sense to you guys. I don't wanna seem like a tool but this is kinda the way I feel. I mean look at fight night and RFOM. They were great when they came out but if they came out today would you buy them with everything else on the market? I also realize that as time goes on games get better but seriously these games aren't that old. COD4 blows RFOM out of the water imho. So.... Is it just getting that games have very short lifespans or what? Maybe reviewers are being too nice lately...

So as not to ramble anymore I will leave it at that. I also know the more you talk on this site the more flack people get for sharing opinions but seriously does anyone else feel this way?

as much as i can understand what your saying and where your coming from you mite get slated for that comment, its a petty cos thats a good comment but some people think because its got good graphics, lots of hype, big studio and big budget it must be AAA,but wen some reviews it lowly people are blasting them sayin they dont know what they are doing, they dont know games, just like 1up wit 7 for assassins creed and gamespot 7.5 wit rachet and clank, maybe they saw past the hype, money, graphics, you will never know, but good point.

Predator, AAA has nothing to do with how a game score. Its a measure of production values, etc. A AAA game can perfectely score 3/10 just as a low budget game can score 10/10 but it will NOT be a AAA game.

I do appreciate that reply. At least I'm not totally alone. I just want to clarify what I think a "10" is. A game like SM64 or Zelda OOT or Soul calibur 2 or Earthworm jim. I can go back to these games and still enjoy them. Hell I have Donkey Kong country in my DS and play it almost nightly. These are "10" games imho. I can still enjoy them and they feel timeless. Marvel vs Capcom 2, FF7 are 10's. Bioshock albeit good I am done with same with RFOM. Halo 3 and R&C I might still play but I'm pretty much done with them hence "I" dont think are perfect. They are time pieces to me. I know some people will play the hell out of both of those games for years to come but I feel the majority of people in 5 years may still boot up SM64 from time to time but wont play Halo 3 or R&C..... If you want to bash the hell out of me for this please feel free. I like others opinions. I really do. Gamers are some of the smartest people out there and have strong (Sometimes too strong) opinions on stuff. Just please understand this is just my opinion(I feel like I have to justify myself too much =P kinda wierd)

Edit: Gotta go pick up galaxies. Back in a bit guys.

According to GameTrailers, the AI is kinda dumb. They even showed a scene where the player pretended to be a monk and then stabbed a guard from behind, right in front of another guard. And that guard started to look around and said: Who did this? And then the player walked right past him and then stabbed him.

The guard saw the whole stab scene, but he didn´t do anything, because the player was acting like a monk.

Maybe that´s why some reviewers gave it such a low score.

the AI is what brought this game down....i couldnt agree more but its still way too low...from the review it looks like it should be around 8/8.5, maybe even a 9

im still getting the game because of the world to explore but im just kinda annoyed that combat looks kinda half-assed after u get the counter attack
