God of War III officially PS3-bound

In March, Sony Computer Entertainment America held a lavish launch party in San Francisco for God of War II. In the course of the celebrations, Cory Barlog, the game's outspoken director, dropped some none-too-subtle hints that the series would be coming to the PlayStation 3 along with force feedback.

will be nice to see the true "GoW" III go up against NG 2...I know how different the gameplay is...but they are setting up to be the two big exclusive action games of each respective system...

NG S was great...but I am leaning towards GoW III as being probably one of the greatest action games ever made...the scale of the first two, even on the PS2, was absolutely undeniable...

it was definitely a given especially with the gow II ending..the first two games were cream of the crop in graphics and gameplay and epic storytelling im hoping this one continues that trend..cant wait to see how its gonna look

God of War is my favorite action game franchise, so I want each edition to be of the highest quality. It scares me a bit to think of the third game in the hands of yet another person to direct. Hopefully Jaffe will help out a bit with the game. Otherwise, can't wait to see it!

I know he left and created his own studio, but considering his close ties with Sony and the fact that Eat Sleep Games has something like a three game deal w/Sony right now, I was hoping he'd pitch in wih advice or at least give his opinion like he did w/GoW2.

id rather have another SoTC myself. GoW and what i played of GoW2 (my rental from BB was messed up and wouldnt play part way through, waiting for a buddy to finish titan mode) was awesome. but SoTC sequel for me XD

this is gonna be big...

if you think about it, god of war effortlessly did battle with games on higher systems. it was a franchise that came towards the latter years of the ps2's lifespan, and felt next-gen in some regards.

to actually now be built specifically for one next-gen system, not to be a multiplat.

this game will be big...i can't even imagine what they're gonna do.

think about all those exclusive 1st/2nd party franchises sony have.

Ratchet and clank, jak and daxter, killzone , infamous, GT5, uncharted, god of war, Shadow of collosus, heavenly sword, resistance, motorstorm, heavy rain (being published by sony), White knight story

probably this and the downright inexplicable exclusivity of FFXIII's and mgs4 is probably why i'll never get a 360 or wii.

I'm kind of neverous about this. I mean God of War 2 pushed the PS2 to it's breaking point, and was visually on par with many next gen games (I guess it's current gen). So what exactly is Sony (Jaffe) going to do to make part 3 raise to that next level. Are we going to be able to play as Kratos in his giant god form since they couldn't do it on the PS2? I know I shouldn't worry because the first 2 games were great, but I just can't wait any longer I need some news or trailers of this game.

Gamespot alert. God of War 3 = 8.2.

-Not Enough nudity
-Kratos seems to have an identity crisis
-Good graphics but expected higher for ps3
-Story doesn't make sense.
-Too much gore.

lol, anyways, what i liked bout god of war 2 is the replay value and u get all your weapons so please do the same thing with GOW3. and bring back blade of olympus.

You have Ninja Gaiden Sigma, a 2 to 3 year old remake of an XBOX 1 game.

The 360 gets Ninja Gaiden 2. That's the trade off. You might see it in 3 years on your PS3 maybe.
