1 - Amazing tracklist...

Great number of masters compared to covers, and awesome selections! Master tracks of Won't Get Fooled Again, Don't Fear The Reaper and Foreplay/Long Time will be so great to play.

All the good vastly outweighs any bad.

2 - OMG!

I was scanning the track list and wasn't very happy with most of the older tracks, but my God, when I got to the 2000s and my eyes laid to rest on 'Welcome Home' by Coheed and Cambria, I nearly fell out of my seat! I TOTALLY suggested that song back when they were taking suggestions on their website and I am absolutely THRILLED to see that song in there! (I also suggested 'Deadbolt' by Thrice, which if anyone else has heard, they know why it would be awesome to play in a Rock Band/Guitar Hero game!)

4 - great set list

When I look at the songs that are going to be available there are maybe 6 that I don't know and every other song I love. Then there's all the downloadable content that'll be offered as well. RB is gonna rock!

5 - Not Too Bad.

There are Definately some great bands in there like The Ramones and RHCP that make the lineup worthwhile, but they could have included tracks from some more definite 90's groups like Pearl Jam and Social Distortion. Of course instead they got to put in crappy bubble-gum pop rock like Fallout Boy (they stole that from The Simpsons BTW).

In Bloom is a great Nirvana track (great track to try and play to and rock out to when you're drunk or something) I personally hoped that another great Nirvana track like "Aneurysm" or "Return of the Rat" would have made it in there.

I'm not that big into metal or hard rock or very much rock at all. I wish that would have used more mainstream (Radio play) type rock songs. The only one I can really relate to is the Dani California song (nice track)

Too bad that don't get songs that made billboard top 5 so more people would be more familiar with the song. Then again, I'm sure it's just me that don't know these songs.

I took the tracks and entered them into itunes music store search and listened to previews. Based on the tracks I listened to, I think I'll be passing on rock band. Too bad though, I was really pump about playing those drums.

Edit: Maybe they should release additional track from other genres, I think it would boost their sells immensly.

I guess whether you prefer RB or GH will depend on the tracklistings. Lots of good songs on both but GH has One, Welcome to the jungle and Paint it black. Worth the price for those alone for me.

And one know if the can use a GH guitar in RB?

Funny you mentioned Bon Jovi...They're actually one of my favorite bands, but I figured I'd leave them out since I already get enough flack from my buddies for being a big fan of a "chick band."

The "Have a Nice Day" tour ('January '06) was one of my favorite concerts ever.

So There. I said it. I like Bon Jovi...It's OK, I man enough to be in touch with my feminine side...besides, just even try to tease me, and I'll whack you with my purse! ;)

For the record, my taste in music is soooo diverse, it's freakin' scary. My MP3 playlists have been dubbed by head-scratching bystanders as "REAL Monster-Mixes."

This is the true "Legends of Rock" compared to GHIII modern mainstream sh!t list, still cant believe AFI is on "Legends of Rock!" Anyways, this list destroys the GHIII list, I'd buy it if you can buy the game and just a rock band guitar, instead of the whole set. ...unless you can lol. Let's hope for some great DLC, some Joe Satriani, Dream Theater, or Liquid Tension Experiment ^_^

COME ON, JUST ENJOY WHAT'S ENJOYABLE! Why limit yourself?

Me? I'll be picking both GH3 and RB, maybe not at the same time, but I will definitely enjoy both. They both offer great things, IMO.

Both games have an amazing track list. Plus, RB will let me live all my Pete Townshend/Keith Moon fantasies with the FULL "Who's next?" album :D

13.2 - I'm not picking sides

I'm still getting GHIII, but i dont like many of hte tracks on it, alot of the songs are a bit too modern than they should, like 25% of them... .. and i found out on GHII it is harder than you think to play a song on mute... for some reason =/
