From your post I see you are an over reactive fanboy for Sony. You took my post as NEGATIVE, when really, I do want to know the answers to MY questions.

Feel free to read over my comments in any other area of this site, I am by no means a fanboy (as you for sure are) ... I am looking into getting a PS3 for Christmas to sit next to my 360 but I am allowed to ask questions about a system and a FW upgrade that I have been looking forward to for some time now

I have ZERO issue with the 360 or PS3 and look forward to having both, but would like to know if this new function was added in. I really like the feature in the 360 and would LOVE to have it on the PS3 as well.

Ok.Ok. I'll admit it! I just hear so much focus on what it can't do, I assumed you were following suit. I don't think we'll see any of those features until 2.0 or Home. Until then...

EDIT: The 360 vision cam will work with the PS3. I plugged mine in and it came up with ZERO problems. I personally feel 2.0 will be out in November, but who knows. Especially now that the firmwares have gone from 1.6, 1.7, etc to 1.92, 1.93, etc. At a minimum, it should be available when Home is. Then we will be living XMB in-game bliss. Sony really f*cked up by not having that by now. Just my 2 cents. While I am a PS3 fan, I'm no fanboy. Of course, my comments don't really show otherwise. After my 5th 360 died, I said enough is enough. Bitter? Absolutely.

I installed a 160GB sata in my 60GB PS3. Took all of 5 minutes. I now find myself storing my converted DVD rips (mp4) on the PS3 and streaming them to my PSP while at work (benefits of an office with a door). Remote play is pretty damned slick.

I also understand where some of the DEFENSIVE comments come from. This place is littered with one sided fanboys. I must admit, at times reading about the 360 on N4G and some of the out and out Bullsh!t I read gets me ripped and I would love to come back and defend, but then I would be labelled a Fanboy, when in reality I am not. I am a gamer. But it still pisses me off to hear folks with ZERO CLUE talk sh!t just because it is not SONY ( or MicroSoft) ... the retards live on BOTH sides of the fence.

I also see you are from North America. I am on my 2nd 360, but my first was a launch day console. May actually sell the one I have now to get the new ones that are out with the BenQ DVD Drive, NO MORE X-CLAMPS (use the 4 mount method .. much better), 2 heat syncs (rather than one) and 65nm chip (rather than 90nm). I have the 20GB drive and the 120GB drive (Walmart messed up and I got it for $100) so I might grab the new ARCADE 360 (which has all the NEW internals) and just put my 120 on it. Then again, just buy the ARCADE model ($280) and then have two. One in living room on 61" 1080p set and other in PC room on 22" monitor (for when my kids NEED to watch Teletoon on the BIG tv .. LOL )

I don't ever see me not having a 360. I have to many games for it and really love some of the exclusives. Plus I would say 99% of my buds have them and we play on XBL every night (once wife and kids are in bed that is) .. but, that is why I also want the PS3 .. KZ2 for me is a must and I think RC will also be added. Plus, still want to give RFOM a run. I figure at Christmas (or a little after) I will get some nice bundles that my local shops will offer. Will go for the 40GB since I don't need 4 USB or the card readers. BC is not an issue since my PS2 is still in my wall unit. "BUT" the chat and message function I get with XBL "IS" important to me as a feature I use ALL THE TIME and really look forward to PS3 adding it ... the sooner the better IMHO !!

As for BR or HD-DVD ... I really wish the INDUSTRY would pick a winner. They are waiting for WE the consumers to choose, when most of us are not willing to comit to an unknown. I have a BETA MAX player in my basment and don't want another be it BR or HD-DVD.

I am not even sure what I will use the 160GB drive for since my 360 does my media streaming, but who cares .. BIGGER is BETTER when it comes to HD space. And the price is getting lower and lower on these Sata drives.

BTW .. is it true you do not have a GLOBAL friends list ?? Meaning you will have a main list, but then a list for each game ??? I hope that is NOT the case or at least that it will be addressed.

You do have a global friends list, however, games have their own friends lists as well. Some titles, MotorStorm for example, integrate with the XMB friends list. Leaving the options open is good for devs, but putting the same type of minimum requirements MS has with XBL, it damn near a necessity at this point. Home should "fix" it all. I am shooting for the Christmas time, but to be honest ... "I WILL" wait to make sure FW 2.0 addresses my concerns. For me .. ONLINE IS HUGE. That is a good 90% of my gaming. And I really have gotten far to use to the features I really hope 2.0 will give that functionallity in regards to chats, messages (I also use the MSN feature a good deal as well. With the chat pad it is very slick)and ONE global friends list that can be accessed for invites across the board. I also want to be sure the games I want (KZ2 in particular) are indeed on track and not pushed off for whatever reason (it seems to happen a good bit with the PS3). So the day will come ... NO DOUBT ... but if I have to "WAIT" a bit longer than I would like ... so be it !!
