Devil May Cry 4 release date announced

The highly anticipated Devil May Cry 4 immerses gamers in a gothic supernatural world, where a new protagonist clashes with series mainstay Dante. As new leading man Nero players will be able to unleash incredibly powerful and stylish attacks and non-stop combos using a combination of the Devil Bringer arm and the Exceed system, both of which are new gameplay mechanics for the series. Fans of Dante won't be disappointed as he too will be playable during the course of the game.

3 - Sorry Nero/Dante, I'll be buying Brawl in Feb

The other day I popped the original DMC in my PS3 just to get that feeling of awesomeness again. Wow, talk about some games not standing the test of time! It was too damn ugly for me to look at, and the entire design was antiquated. UGH! I was never really hyped for DMC4, but replaying the first game actually killed my interest in the frachise.

dmc is still a great game. thats just what happens when you get spoiled by next gen, 99% of last gen's games look horrible. I threw in gta san andreas in my ps3 the other day and wow did it look bad. The only ps2 games i've played on my ps3 that still looked great were god of war and ffxii, both were late in the ps2's life also and maxed out the system's specs. dmc was pretty early on in the ps2's life, so of course the graphics won't stand up by today's standards.

haha thats what I have been thinking, do none of you guys have jobs? do you guys get an allowance from mom, and you only get 60 bucks a month to buy a game? I understand some might have a family now and need to save money, but all you have to do is manage your money a little better, if you can't buy more than one game a month, I'm sorry for you.

This will probably mean that it will sell more on the 360 than the PS3 if it comes out around the same time as MGS4. I know I'm definitely getting MGS4 as release, and if I have the money, I think Devil May Cry will be achievement fodder for my 360.

notice i did this: "storylines".

even though i was being sarcastic there are storylines in dmc, but they have about as much weight as narratives in b-movies; cheap excuses for gratuitious violence.
Kinda reminds of films like Versus.

haha i know. i just think it's funny because i slept on the whole dmc series until the 3 pack boxset came out last year. everyone kept telling me how awesome the story was, and how bad part 2 was.

this is what i got from the "story:" dante opens some business and demons crash the party.. then you kill them all and part 2 starts. also. dmc2 was far better than 1. yeah, i said it.

When they announced that Dante wouldn't be the main character. Dante IS Devil May Cry and if you have to fight him in a boss battle with a human then it better be the hardest boss battle ever.
