Faith No More's Mike Patton to Voice Bionic Commando

Capcom revealed in a press release yesterday that Nathan Spencer, the protagonist in the newly announced Bionic Commando game, will be voiced by former Faith No More lead singer Mike Patton.

Totally awesome. It's so cool to see Mike Patton use his superb vocal abilities for more than grinding out some killer lyrics. His voice is definately suited for game characters. I hope to hear more musicians who have great voices do some voice acting in games.

Great news! Mike Patton has a great voice whether it be singing or aplying his talent to video game voice acting. Bionic commando keeps getting better and better in my eyes!

From the trailer, I thought Steve Blum (wolverine from the xmen legends games and Captain Ross from Jericho fame) was doing the voice acting

Patton rocks! When Faith No More toured with GNR Mike use to come out acting like Axl and do welcome to the jungle. I don't think Axl really liked that to much. GO BUY MR. BUNGLE CALIFORNIA IF YOU DON'T OWN IT YET. It is a must have album for any fan of good music.

Amazing news. I will probably never play this game, but this is STILL awesome. Patton really opened the doors for a lot of experimental music, especially in the metal genre. Kick-ass.
