IGN says PS3 aces 360 in Virtua Tennis

As IGN was checking out the new Virtua Tennis 3 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 at Leipzig, they made note of the "slight" differences between the two versions saying that the PS3 edged out the 360 when it came to graphical dominance.

1 - Not that suprising...

everyone knows that the 360 and ps3 pretty much have equally graphics. on some games 360 looks on other ps3 looks better. who really cares all it comes down to is your playing style. turn based rpg's and alot of other japanese titles go for the ps3 straight action and the best fps's on the planet go to 360. i love my 360 and if i had the cash to afford a ps3 i would buy one to have both even though they look almost exactlly the same. one always edges out the other in certain games. boo hoo fan boys they are freaking graphics.

But they did not say if it was official final PS3 hard ware. If the drv. are abble to do this with the PS3 this is going to be a interesting generation of games. I still am waiting to buy one though. I have a 360 the PS3 rush is for the fan boys. I still need a price drop and a killer app.

10 - The game is being dev'd by two different dev teams with sega

And the games aren't the final build. When the game is finished we will see if there are any differences. To show the game this early, with two different dev teams, then say there are slight differences....When the game is done. Then we can see the differences. But I would assume that with two different teams...the versions would be different in nature. Unless both teams have the same producer. But to get excited about slight differences this early in developement is silly. Prime example is Madden at E3. It looked better on the 360 than it did on the ps3. But who cares. It wasn't done. Wait for the finished product. Then compare.

well, i take a different view than you real deal. its reasonable to assume that the 360 version has been in development just as long as the PS3 version. and if there's a difference in graphical quality between the two this early in the development cycle, it stands to reason that as development progresses, the difference will widen even further. the fact that two separate teams are working on both versions simply supports the idea that the PS3 is indeed superior. two different teams working on two different versions means that both teams are optimizing their respective versions for those respective systems. thats different than a game being optimized for the 360 or PC then ported to the PS3, in which case it would've taken full advantage of the 360/PC hardware but not the PS3. with Virtua Tennis, both versions will take advantage of both systems capabilities.

Sony don't have many killer APP's. They have 2 in the top 20 "HOT" games coming and both of them aren't being released until mid to late 2007. The 360 by far has the most anticipated "HOT" games. Games is what matters right?
