Rumor: Game Informer Mag Mentions Warhawk Expansion Pack

In the new Game Informer magazine, is mentioned a Warhawk expansion in December, here is what it says: There aren't any screens available yet, but we saw an early version of this expansion pack in action. The big news is the addition of a new vehicle: the dropship. Armed with six missiles turrets and the ability to pick up ground vehicles (like tanks), the dropship will sure change the face of battle - so much so that previous zones will be modified slightly to integrate the new vehicle.

omg that would be so amazing. warhawk is so much fun. i would love some new maps, maybe a new gampalymod or who knows some new weapons and vehicles, but the last onces only if the gameplay keeps beeing so amazing and balanced. warhawk is really one of the funnest multiplayer games in the last years for me.

true...true... when i think about it, incognito probably has a bunch of unused code from the single player version... they probably have all kinds of stuff we have never even seen before..

the pics you posted look like aircraft carriers....that would be nice to have in a dogfight, perfect spawn points

I remember that. There was alot of stuff from the original showings of Warhawk which had vehicles and features which the present state of Warhawk doesn't. I hope they have all this stuff planned to put into Warhawk. It would be a great way of slowly building the community...along with the game. I'm so pumped for this first add-on.

updates for warhawk have so much potential. the maps are already huge..adding a few more and expanding the existing maps would make the world so much bigger..more weapons would be a plus . i would rather spawn with a assault rifle than a pistol.. they could trade the pistols weapon spot for a shotgun(please) or a grenade launcher..also the game already has great vehicles, how about combining them..:: machine gun turrets on top of the tanks, , missile launcher equipped tanks .

the dropships sound amazing....if they are willing to add something that big to warhawk, just imagine what else they have up their sleeve ...i hope its true

they should rather fix the updating problem with ranks+awards, my profile wasn't updated for about a week now... also they should add some ability for the co-driver in Warhawk plane, shoot weapons at least, cause now you can't do nothing. As a hardcore Battlefield 1+2 player, Warhawk is for me in many points disappointing, only 3 types of vehicles is really a joke, but it can be fun from time to time.

you shouldn't judge this game by battlefields standards. i understand it has a huge following but if they are too similar then you might as well call it warhawk: bf clone addition. even bf had flaws and yes warhawk does also but many many people are having fun on warhark without the things you want in it. maybe the peeps who disagreed with ya think your a hater or just tooo hard to please, who knows

22.4 - Yah it could use some work, but...

This game is a really great game by multiplayer online standards. Yah it could stand to add a few features (guy in a planes c@ckpit is useless...unless your trying to steal bases) and improve its ranking system. But this game is pretty much, barnone one of the best online games for the PS3 and one of the better online experiences one can have on a console platform.

22.5 - Actually me and my friend find a passenger quite useful

One of us can hop in the passenger spot and relay info to the other so we know where the turrets are being manned from anywhere and sneak up on them. They can also keep a mark on almost every warhawk in the air for you as well as base statuses and flag locations. add to that the takeover speed increase on bases and it's quite effective.

Hunting AA turrets in a plane and getting a 8 to 1 kill/ death ratio is funny as hell

26 - i thought about that the first day

i wanted to pick up a tank with my warhawk but this would lead to some real corny play. The drop ship should not carry tanks but it should carry 4-6ppl and have one cluster bomb for use b4 u drop of the troops. If u could carry a tank and 4ppl to a zone that zone will fall 90% of the time. It might mess with the balance of power in this game.

Make a drop ship. It shouldnt carry a tank. This is fake anyway i think. I want more maps and a drop ship that doesnt carry tanks!

i hope thats freakin true. warhawk = Multiplayer 2.0 ^^ thats freakin sweet. Dropships would seriously make the game more diverse in it's offerings i just hope they are able to balancing it right because warhawks are really unstopable if used right and if you're in a Dropship carrying say your whole team and you get shot out of the sky by a warhawk then .... yeah. so i hope they are pretty hiogh on defense and nimble enough to take on the mighty warhawks and powerfull enough to shoot one out of the sky in a dog fight. either way expanding maps and adding weapons and new vehicles and even a map or 2 would be awesome i cant wait

Dropships? That would be awesome!

But 6 missile turrets? That would make it insanely overpowered. I'm hoping for just the weaker turrets and maybe two flak turrets at most. Maybe one 1 missile turret, but that's it.

Although if its as big as I think Iit will be, it'll probably be an easy to hit target, plus it also most surely be slow as hell :p

Hope they make a bigger version of some of the maps to fit these dropships in there though! :D
