Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction Goes Gold, Demo Coming

Greg Phillips, SCEA's Line Producer writes:
"I'm happy to report that we've gone gold! The game is finished and will hit a store near you on October 30. As some of you know, this is a week later than the Oct 23rd date stated previously, but the extra wait will be worth it."

On the demo:
"I am also happy to report that we are wrapping up work on an updated and optimized version of our E3 demo (which is also available at Gamestop if you pre-order RCF) as I type this, and should be available via PSN in North America by October 11. The demo will be of Metropolis, the signature level in the Ratchet & Clank franchise."

8.3 - Yeah my post was 90% joking anyway

But there is only 1 reason to send that much stuff to reviewers. And its to sway their opinion in your favor. But personally I think R&C will get between a 8.5 and 9. I've already read a lot of previews grip about the game being "too much of the same". While it didn't hurt Halo 3's scores with most reviewers I do think it will hurt R&C's score.

...

They tell us the game is done NOW. Move the release back a week, but say that the extra wait will be worth it. What will they be doing during that week? Nothing, because the game is done NOW. Hmmm.

Anyways, it will be a great game when it comes out, I'll pick it up for sure.

Ohh, and the home page cut it off at "October 3". Man I was excited for a minute. Curse you zero!
