that was a pretty funny video. Kinda clever. But that Halo 3 footage wasn't even the beta. That footage was taken from that small documentary released over an year ago. Not even close to the final version but funny nonetheless.

haha that was good...you have to admit MS walked right into that one...the real "museam" commercial has such a huge amount of cheese smothered on it, its inevitable for things like this to be made...

I am taking it as good fun...but to directly above...BOTH games are taken from very early footage...not just Halo 3...thats not a final KZ2 gameplay video vs. old alpha Halo 3 stuff...whatever opinion you have now between these 2 games visually, is what you will have upon release of both...so its pointless in the first place...

yeah it does but I'm tired of both sony and M$ fanboys praising a game that the developer has been putting work in for years, like Halo 3 I'm tired of the hype for Halo 3 as well as Killzone 2 because Killzone 1 was Average. The only reason why Halo 3 get praised, for one it's the last Halo, and the series so far had good reviews.

I wish we had more info about it. My only knock on the game is that it looks linear. I hope they open up the levels a bit. If they throw a little sandbox in it then KZ2 for GOTY 08. It's good that killzone sucked now the dev have been pushed to make 2 way better.

Possibly...depends on how Sony handling TGS to begin with...

The Japanese don't care about KZ2 or halo 3...as a market the FPS genre has little impact there...

however with the demise of E3 as a public gathering, Sony may use the time this week to show off more of the game just to the worldwide public...a move that wouldn't be bad if you ask me...halo 3 is about a week away...and unless that crazy rumor of a KZ2 demo or something around that time, they really need to push something along the lines of "we have a big Sci-fi game coming too"...

It is very unlike Sony to sit back and watch with competition as big as this...We all know what Sony did at E3 in regards to Halo 3...and for about a month, it was extremely effective...

What? Man, Killzone 2 will be streamed, no loading times whatsoever, now you are surprised that it freezes a little bit when saving? I'd rather freeze a second or two while saving than waiting 2 minutes for the game to load initially, plus, on a interview with a dev (I think it was the BBC one), the dev said that the streaming isn't properly placed yet.

This game will never take down Halo 3, no matter how impressive it looks or how well it plays, simply because we (xbox fans) are total pricks, and yes Killzone will be unfortunaly be flamed by everyone including Gamespot, IGN, etc. Sony loses because of childish fanboys.

with all due respect, killzone 2's graphics make halo 3 look like total crap, or like a ps2 game.

you might say all but gameplay is what matters. So far, I have'nt seen anything bad with the gameplay.

I feel bad for the developers, they are under so much pressure, especially when you have all those biasedwebsites out there.

without a doubt, if they make this game a decent one, it will be reviewed horribly, if they make it fantastic, it's gonna be rated 8.5 or something like that.

It's the truth, we all know some websites would be pleased to obliterate this game.

Why does this game always get compared to Halo? They have totally different art styles and game play. Wouldn't a better comparison be to Call of Duty 4 or Rainbow 6? Something more realistic then a augmented super soldier with cartoon like enemies and a kinda naked transparent, purpelish, pink lady inside his head.

That's what they said about Lair and Heavenly Sword. Two other supposed AAA titles that went down the drain. I think Killzone 2 looks better than any of themm, but don't get your hopes too high. I think Uncharted will be the big game of the holiday season for PS3 owners.

18 - I hate watching these compressed low res vids, doesn't do the game justice.,.. the particle effects, destructible environments, and excellently calibrated rag doll graphics make for a very attractive title,.

but there wasn't any urgency in the gameplay. It reminded me of shooting fish in a barrel with a shot gun. where's the diversity?

where are the combat puzzles?...

hopefully they're on the way,..

with the huge budget that's being lavished on the game, it doesn't need to end up being dull.

Most said the AI in Resistance was just "ohkay", but my experience with it was the Chimera joining forces and sneaking up on you from behind something. It wasn't F.E.A.R., mind you, but it was pretty dang good.

I would put it on par with GOW's AI probably.

The xbox fanboys are really doing their best to defend their console. If you read the comments all the PS3 guys are saying is that this game looks beautiful. But there is always some 360 fanboy in there stirring it up with stupid comments. It must really be horrible to want a PS3 so much that you cant help getting angry. My advice is that if youre stuck with a 360 and if you dont have enough money to buy a PS3, you can always sell youre 360. Save up some money and buy a PS3 and you will be a free man.

22 - I can't help but wonder if PS3 titles would have ended up being this good

had the Media and Gaming Community NOT put Sony under so much pressure during the past two years. I mean, they were working on the RSX chip all the way up until June 2006, a full year after the original specs were announced. It's funny that the director of Killzone 2 wasn't sure if his game was all the great until he showed it to a bunch of Sony execs a few weeks before E3; they were floored.

I cannot wait for Guerrilla to start implementing the high-level lighting effects (that's right, they want to make the game look even better) and putting game code on SPUs 5 and 6. Right now they're only using the PPU and SPUs 1~4.
