It might just be the crappy low res videos but this looks just like Dark Resurrection to me. I'm hoping they have character models on par with the character art for Tekken 5/DR.

The lighting does seem better though. It's hard to tell because of the sh1t video quality but the graphics look good to me. At least they seem to have the a similar lighting and shading on the the characters (real time) like the great Virtua Fighter 5. Soul Calibur 4 on the other hand, so far looks sh1t. Kind of last gen graphics with 'fake' cartoony like character lighting, but hopefully that will change.

Where you could be any one of the characters in the game and fight in different areas found in the game online, and you could go co-op and fight the AI in the game....what could have been...and least they got warhawk right....

Ever wonder why the guys at Tecmo only talk trash about VF? It's because they know how much better Tekken is. Tekken is the definition of all fighters.

All i know is tekken 5 DR looks pretty good and i assume this will look better, so i'm not worried about the grafx being there, and when has tekken gameplay let us down?

Tekken is not better than VF. Whoever says that probably sucks at VF which alot of people do because they are dumb and VF is very technical and really doesnt allow for one player to dominate the match by cornering an opponent and repeating the same move over and over. VF has lots of counters and tactical manuevers to keep your opponent on there toes. Guess what, the characters in VF actually have different fighting styles that REALLY play DIFFERENTLY. Some characters are actually harder to use because of their styles. In Tekken everyone is essentially the same and everyone has a combo that allows them to own any other character. It's just block hit block hit block hit. I don't care if this is long, don't ever try to say Tekken is better than VF. The only reason most people think it's so fun is because it is so easy to play and really takes no skill. You learn win to block and you are already a Tekken pro.

But i must say i`m disappointed with the footage. How little progression fighting games show is beyond me, and i`m not just talking about Tekken here, i`m talking about the whole genre.

Why can`t a fighting game get better physics than they have, with so little happening on screen ? The graphics should also be better because of the same reason. I do realize that it can be hard to get every move to connect properly with the opponent so that it actually looks like he/she is being kicked or punched, but at least it should get better over time, which it dosn`t appear to the case here. It looks exactly the same as Tekken 5 to me, just look at the "death animation" which is the same, regardless of where the character was punched before he died.

Damage done to the fighters body and clothes between rounds should also be possible to pull off. The environment should also be more effected (i do seem to remember from earlier footage than the holes in the ground at least say on here, which is an improvement over Tekken 5), and you should be able to use stuff in it to your advantage.

They'll have to do a lot better than this with the game b4 I sink another 50$. Bad enough they nailed us extra for the online on resurrection but to try and sell us the same game again... Even if they gave it simple twist like realistic psychics (think snapping bones and bloody fights where the hits feel like they really count) something to say their trying at least. But dont try and sell me a game Ive already bought 4 times pls.

Until they do an update of the incredible Tekken Tag then I will consider Soul Calibre to be the better option.

I KNOW I will buy SC4 but I might buy TK6 if it has a tag mode and is greatly superior to TK5.
