Bandai Namco Site Lists Eternal Sonata For PS3 and 360

"Oh Bandai Namco. You're such fibbers! It was only a month ago that you were saying you were "not aware" of a PS3 version of Eternal Sonata. Not aware? Someone is, because the game's official listing on the company's site now has the game listed as a PlayStation 3 game. No release date, but it's right there under "platforms". PlayStation 3. Could be a typo, but then, we're only a week and a bit away from TGS. Could also be announced there."

this wouldnt be quite suprising. after all it didnt do to well in the japanese market. this would be a simple case of publishers seekin a return on their investment. it might do better in the U.S. though but we'll see.

The site says its coming to PS3. The site's a mess though and is poorly updated with games supposedly out now with many missing from all platforms we all know are coming.

Wasn't this game suppose to be coming out on PS3 first or at the same time or something?. All I know is we should wait till TGS because that site is poorly kept.

The game is friggin stellar I never liked JRPG's untill this game. It does make sense for this to be on PS3, PS3 owners- even more so in Japan love these types of games.

I can't see it breaking records in the west anyways although I think many will buy it. The timed turn-base and or real time gameplay is great.

I'm sure this game's part of MSFT's Japanese push so don't expect this game anytime soon if at all PS3 owners.

but interesting none the less. This game could have possibly increased 360 in Japan by a slight margain but now that its multi-plat it wont be as significant unless theres a huge seperation between the release dates.

I'm also wondering if it has anyting to do with how stand-offish Westerners were toward Blue Dragon. Banco could have taken the wait and see approach to see how Americans are responding to JRPG's and took it from there. But... something tells me thats not the case

Yet Famitsu claimed Beautiful Katamari had been canceled for PS3 so either this is very new news for both Eternal Sonata and Beautiful Katamari or its old news(updated info).

yea blue dragon is really good. I'm on the 3rd disk and it's a fun game that throws in all the elements into a nice neat package. Only problem I see is that the achievements are rather spread far apart... on the 3rd disk and I only have 4...

Eternal Sonata looks amazing but the battle system is what I don't like about it, and seeing that you'll be in battles for basically the whole game I just can't bring myself to buy it. Note I have been saying this even when it was a 360 exclusive. Anyways seeing that it is an RPG it'll sell okay for a 360 title in Japan but will sell just as bad in the states.

Doesn't change the fact it got a low score. Maybe they fix some stuff in PS3 version. After all they have way more space to play with.

Well, I know that, for me, Eternal Sonata was the only game that made me consider getting a 360. I love RPGs, and I study music, so it's a wonderful blend. If I can get it for a console I already have, it suits me fine.

And there are a lot of PS3 owners who wanted to play this. I know a good few who were annoyed it was only on the 360.

i was always interested in this game, even when it was only on the 360, so i was pumped when i saw that ESRB listing for the PS3 as well.

now that it's "officially" coming to the Playstation 3 at some point, i'm really excited, since i don't have a 360, and won't be picking one up for a while (my budget can only afford games for *ONE system right now, and the PS3 has a bunch of exclusive and multi-plat titles hitting this fall).

of course, *WHEN the Playstation 3 version hits is the next question, and i'm actually kind of hoping it doesn't come out *THIS year, as i can barely afford the 15 or so games i'm dying to play already (i already have two out of the 15; Warhawk and Lair, and Heavenly Sword is joining them later this week, but a *BUNCH more i have to find the money for).

of course, if Eternal Sonata doesn't hit *BEFORE games like MGS, Little Big Planet, Killzone 2, Infamous, etc, it may get pushed even *FURTHER on my shopping list this year.

damn game developers, what with their releasing so many promising games in such a short ammount of time.

i think i've bought more games in this one year, than i have since i was able to afford my own games.
