1 - right now
the 360 controller
i still dont know why Sony didnt put rumble in with their controller...but atleast they realized there mistake
rumble+sixaxis would be very good...but then again wasnt the 360 rated the best overall controller?
i guess its just preference

yes it is preference and rumble doesn't really have anything to do with it; it's mainly because it's only been on the p/s you would be used to that controller scheme and not the xbox because it hasn't come to that system until now but personally i would if i was getting this game which i probably won't because i am kind of burnt out of the whole DMC series but if i did get it i would get it for p/s just because i know the controls and i think the controler is better my opinion of course!

i think any one who is a member of this sight knows ps3 didnt choose not to have rumble they were in the middle of a lawsuit with "emersion" who also is in litigation with Microsoft and considering action with Nintendo, all that said rumble should be available before the end of the year

360 pad is great for fps, any game were u prefer the d-pad like football games etc is an absolute joke on the 360.
All round the playstation pad is better suited to a wide variety of games the 360 pad is better for certain genre's where it really excels

3.2 - Dual Shock--Sixaxis controllers are...
also better for games that require you to use all eight buttons. The current 360 controller is better than the controller-S was but the left and right bumpers still feel a bit out of place. Going from left bumper to left trigger feels bad and is a bit too difficult, the same goes for the right hand. .

4 - yeah ..
The Sixaxis is better for all kinds of games ... even Shooters.
Headshots in Resistance are so easy because the Analog-Sticks are perfect.

4.1 - hmm...
it is prefrence, and really i totally disgree, my two problems with the ps3 controller is the analog sticks feel to loose, and the controller is just a little small
And i don't like the D-pad for the 360 controller but i still prefer it over all

6 - I agree
I have a 360 and a ps3. personally I feel the sixaxis is more suited for a game like this, more power to the person who can play a game like this for the box. Plus...is it me or is it a fact that most people who have xboxs probably won't even look twice at this game? I remember when 3 came out no xbox fanboy or just a regular box player wanted it.

7 - I wish some tech genius would invent an adapter that allows you to use 360 controller on PS3 and vice versa.
A small box with bluetooth that you could plug a wired 360 controller into for the PS3. And the same box could pick up a Sixaxis signal and connect to a 360 via the front USB's.
Or if Sony would make the Sixaxis slightly bigger. You can buy gloves in different sizes, why not controllers?
EDIT to reaferfore20 Thanks
The list of reasons not to get a PS3 is getting smaller by the day.

8.1 - Yep
Unlike most of these tools disguising themselves as "gamers", I can actually use both the 360 controller and the PS3 controller without a problem.
I'd play this on the PlayStation controller simply because that's what i'm used to playing with since the first game.

i like rumble but i don't need it to enjoy a game. and how about this:
1.how does a bomb exploding around you(in a game)correlate to vibration being felt only in the hands? is that make for a more realistic experience?
2. when your char. is whacked in the head, how does vibration in the hands effectively convey this?
rumble can be effective in some situations, but it's not the "be all; end all" for every situation

On the subject of controllers, whenever i play on my 360 or give someone a go and have to explain the controls, i still refer to the buttons as x, square, circle, triangle.
As most games usually have the same buttons do the same things on each consoles.
just a random piece of useless knowledge for y'all

13 - Ah Ah Ah, No No No, He said the content was exactly the same, but the graphics aren't:)
Yes, I know your tired of seeing it but the Xbox 360 version will be better, better graphics, more playable, better downloads, and the controller w/rumble will make all the difference. "rumble is the end all to be all for now". Until a more precise version of rumble becomes available, and it will next gen I believe, but until it does this is the most and only realistic way to feel ANYTHING in a game eside from an emotional feel. It's very neccesary on any and every game.
Sorry sony:(

14 - I've tried the 360 controller
and I like it less than the one on the Xbox. The top small triggers are way too damn small. It feels too rigid also. I love the PS3 controller but it could do with a little weight gain.

16 - actually,
what version i buy will depend on one thing, and one thing only:
i only own a Playstation 3.
it's a bit annoying that the media, and gaming press at large tend to assume that every next gen gamer out there owns a 360 and maybe a Playstation 3.
the truth is, there are gamers out there, like me, that only chose to purchase one next gen console, and the fact that a game is multi-platform bares no difference in that instance.
sure, if you own both, you'll have to decided which version to get, but don't just automatically assume that everyone owns a 360, and therefore, due to rumble, the 360 is the obvious choice to pick up.
personally, i don't like the 360 controller (and yet it's better than the original X Boxes' "S" controller), and i only own a PS3. until i get a 360, *EVERY multi-platform game that interests me (and there aren't that many, to be honest), will be purchased on my PS3. no gut-wrenching deliberation involved.

I hope the 360 never puts motion sensing in its controller. It's gimmicky and annoying, in my opinion. Call me old-fashioned.
