To me this it still the best racer on any Next Gen console.
I've played them all and nothing beats this in graphics or fun.
The only thing that annoys me it that it gets to bloody hard at the end.

No its not possible.

This was their first PS3 game. In the beginning they made a choice (they didn't make intentionally) that turned out to make that option impossible. It is something you will have to wait for Motor-Storm 2 for.

It's only of the few bad things in this game.

My rating 93%.

yeah split screen would be nice. even without it it rules. i still get amazed when i see the graphics over and over again.

4 - I don't get how people can rag on this game

Sure it doesn't have splitscreen, but the graphics are so good I don't really want a vertical line squishing them down so I can see two players.

The game is damn fun!

and lol @ that tank of an ATV. Looks like something straight out of Mad Max!

7 - There's not a single racing-game

that looks and plays like Motorstorm.

Some people say DIRT looks better ... pah, never!

It feels like racing in reality.

8 - Underrated

I always thought Motorstorm was underrated. Yes, it lacks in some areas, but at it's core it's incredibly fun and refreshing, no other racing game compares to Motorstorm. Looking forward to a new track and new vehicles.

I never liked off road games. Two games changed my mind, rallying in GT3 and this :) Great game, but still haven't finished it. It does get bloody hard at the end. Did anyone notice the homage to Streethawk? :) (check the newest motorstorm video on the PSN store) Streethawk AND the DeLorean?? lol all I need now is Knightrider and I'm sorted :)

You know what Motorstorm needs for invinite longevety?

Anyone play smugglers run?

A big open are where you just drop way points where ever you want to make your own tracks. Sure they might not be as interesting as the proper tracks but providing the terrain had enough surprises you could build tracks forever and have other people race them. Keeps in line witht the whole user created theme and its not really that much work. And why not a capture the flag mode where you simply have to ram a car to get the flag?

User created tracks suck. Why? Because after a while they all look the same and recycle the same texture content. Sure the turns and jumps might be different but the overall feel of the track is very bland. On the PC this might be resolved by dedicated moders with custom textures and models but on the console this isn't possible. Anyways, professionally designed track is the reason why Motorstorm rocks.
