Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII at PS3 launch

Just a few weeks after the revelation that the Xbox 360 warplane game, Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII, would be headed to Nintendo's Wii as a launch title, Ubisoft has confirmed today that it will also be ready for the PlayStation 3's kick-off. The article mentions all new missions, 16 player multiplayer, and use of the tilt functionalities of the PS3 controller. The image above is from the Xbox 360 version.

Well you may think that, but if you're really just looking at the facts!

Anyone read the story about the Phantom Console? It does feel somehow the same though: Phantom lies, Sony lies. Isn't the PS3 actually the Phantom?

2 x HDMI --> 1 x HDMI in fact on expensive one, NO HDMI on the other expensive one. Barbie Ken promised on E3 2005 PS3 would have 2 x HDMI period.

3 x Gigabit Ethernet port --> mmhhhh where did all these ethernet ports go? Oh wait, Sony fans say the PS3 have one extra USB port instead. Whheeeeeee!!!

All games 1080p? Actually, none. All games are in 720p, although a GT4 HD smugged up PS2 version DEMO has been said to be in 1080p. Right. Welcome to the REAL HD area as Barbie Ken tells us.

PS3 case would be smaller then the 360 case. The 360 would be such a large console everyone stated. Watch that giant enemy crab now, damn that's large! Powerbrick not included yet!

Cell is soooooo powerfull, it doesn't need a GPU Kenny thought. But he was sooooo wrong, so suddenly they had to buy a standard Nvidia 7900 and fit it in. Well that's a nice optimalized hardware mix!

here ever played Airplane shooters in the arcades? RAIDEN, and some other ones. If your 10 then probally not like most kids on here. IMO opinion those games were fun. Seem likes everybody is a pixel sl$t now. If it doesn't have good graphics then you won't play it.

5.1 - Sorry but I'm a flight sim fan...

and this ain't no flight sim. It's graphics aren't bad, they are produced with a sort of semi-sepia tone to make them look old fashioned, World War II'ish. The problem is it's just an arcade style shooter with no originality, same as Secret Weapons over Normandy and Heros of the Pacific. If it doesn't have a pilot's in coc-pit view, then its worthless in my view.

This stupid censor software won't even allow the word c-o-c-k-p-i-t!

what makes you think that they improved the game graphic wise for the ps3.its still a port.its done like this, just take the call of duty game for the x360 with all the maps packs an put them on one disc, they can call that improved but its still a port!!an why are the pics thats shown from the x360.

Always about graphics primarily when you talk to FonyBoys...Fake gamers. As for this game I an't tell wether it will be a good one or not, too early. Sometimes pictures don't do the final product any justice.

8 - Good news for the ps3....another port from the 360

This was a decent game for the 360 if you like arcade flight shooters. I enjoyed it months ago. If you have a hd tv its a nice looking game. See there is hope for the ps3. 360 ports galore. Now you can see first hand what we have been playing for months now.

The 360 version had 16 person multi-player.

You get different bad missions, unrealistic tilt function, and no rumble. It's a little hard to tell you're plane is being hit without rumble.

all of you Fonyfans are ridiculous, a game that´s not good on x360 came to ps3 and it´s awesome, morons, i haven´t seen no game for ps3 that looks better than x360 games to date, and i want to remenber all that ps3 inicialy was planed to be on stores on 2005, for that they have one more year to improve the games but they don´t really look any better than x360 games to date , not talkink about GOW, and jin sh.tana, all ps3 lunch games look like crap, but i know that when you have the games they all gona be awesome because you can´t say they are bad. Many fonyfans will be disapointed with ps3 but they will never gonna say it. Bunch of morons. I play my 360 almost a year and i´m very happy with it, i don´t have to wait one year to play on a similar machine with crap games and more expensive.

To everyone above, I was just posting the article as this is news and I hadn't seen it posted yet. I don't care about this game either way, the thing that did stick out was that it is going to utilize the tilt functionalities of the PS3 controller, as is Warhawk, Full Auto 2, Lair, possibly Resistance, and more that haven't announced much about their game.
