Go into your filter settings and change the Rank field to "My Rank." It worked for me and I'm able to join any game I try to join in seconds.

That server room must be like a sauna. You can imagine the ps3's in that server room talkin to each other like, "Cor bro, its a bit hot in 'ere innit? haw haw" "Yeah mate, i've been working me chips off 'ere, its loverly". And 1 lone 360 is sitting amongst them, "LET ME OUT!! AAAHH I'M GONNA RING OUT!!!!"

actually bladestar, sonys network can handle it. They just need more servers. The network has very little to do with the issue, if a server is full its full, they just need to add more.

Do the math. Yesterday at least there were 1000+ servers online averaging roughly 12 people each one. That gives 10000+ online players.

They could be doing anything... adding ps3's, cleaning, adding more air conditioners, checking and replacing ps3's, running maintanence on the ps3's. Ahh the database techs... Im staring at a data room right now... Im at work :(

You can always play a game right away in warhawk. I've had the game since it launched; however, sometimes the ranked games are hard to join because of all the users. This is something that will have to be sorted out, but it's not a large deal. It could have been much worse.

Show me a online game that doesnt do maintenince and i will show u a game that no one plays online.

I like how bladestar takes what other ppl have written and makes it his own talking pionts. Kinda like Fox news and The White House!

Its kinda like The Mart and him saying Warhawk isnt AAA because he adds up all the reviews he can find that are under 9. Funny stuff

Im still waiting on that stress test for the 360 now that i think of it.

Amazing. The people who complain the most about the downtime are the xbots who don't even play the game. And better still, people who troll the PS3 news so much, and get confused with their own posts that it is clear that it is not a single person "manning" the account - but a bunch of trolls watching for PS3 related news to jump onto.

Warhawk - as decided by the gaming community by the time they take to play it - is a AAA title.

Having overcrowded servers is the problem any game publisher want. Having nearly 1000 servers overcrowded is a dream come true. Having a 1000 overcrowded servers within a week... well - it is a clear rebuke to the "reviewers" who gave this game a low score and to those who want to use these "reviews" as a measurement for what a AAA title is.

Warhawk is a AAA title. The enormous response from the gaming community proves it. Those who still try to argue otherwise just embarrass themselves even more.

it seems you're just trying to annoy all these people who are simply enjoying their PS3's good games.

Thats cool if you chose the xbox360. But both consoles have good games out and have a good line up of games to look forward to in the next few months.
all that matters is that you buy the console that has the games you are interested in most.

Personally i don't like playing First person shooters, and thats what the majority of the best 360 games are.

although, I 'try' to play Warhawk, though i'm not very good.

I know why, its because they are scared that their console is going to break at any min!

Xbots...warhawk is an awesome game! Why? Because i have it and i play it. You can get your frustrations out in this game. It is the most fun you can ever have. Do not knock the game until you have played it.

Bladestar...you need to use your next check and get a PS3! You might as well get one now since you know you want to play UT3, Haze and MGS4 and Killzone 2.

Warhawk rules man...also...think about it...there are over 1000 servers at any time in warhawk...in the beta..there was never over 100 servers...so sony never knew that it was going to be this big! (I guess they knew..but they never experienced it till now)

Warhawk is AAA...you do not have to be 9.0 to 10.0 to be AAA.
Heavenly Sword is AAA also...

Bladestar, it is not a fact that you have to wait 15 mins to play a game. jsut last night i was able to join the first game i selected, sometimes its not as easy, but 15 minutes? Maybe if you're a dummy and keep selecting the first servers on the list. It's easy to find a server that's not close to being full towards the middle of the server list.

As far as what games are good:
Well, if you're into fighting games, Tekken 5 DR is a blast to play online, it gets a little laggy sometimes, but it doesn't really affect your combos.
If you like baseball, 07 the show is prob the best baseball game out there, better than 2k7.
resistance is great and so is motorstorm.
I don't know how many games you need but that ought to be enough until the big names come out.

15 - Worth every cent.

PS3 is worth EVERY penny of my 600 bucks. Games are great, and getting better, online is free, can watch HI DEF media (if you have the TV), runs extremely quiet, looks nice in your media set up, reliable. Plus HOME is coming soon, oh and that is free too. 125 fps camera coming out, great FULL games for download available and more planned (not just old skool re hash), beautiful and innovative XMB menu system. UNCOMPRESSED sound.
Plays ps2/ps1 games (biggest game library on planet Earth).

As for Warhawk, I had some problems getting on the other night, but I waited for half an hour, and went online again and .....boom! All my local low ping Sony dedicated were there again. I think at the time I was trying to get on the servers were being added/maintained or something. Because once I pinged them I can join any of them easy. Sometimes it is very crowded, but that is testament to hao popular and addictive this game is. Its even better than BF2 (apart from no mouse and keys).

Yeah it IS worth 600 bones IMO, every penny.
