Warhawk Crowdedness Becoming an Issue For PS3 Owners?

most gamers and average of 15 minutes unless you've done a large poll and can show those facts. But this does happen sometimes it takes a few trys on different games to get in but the longest i've had to wait is maybe 3-4 minutes.

I've been trying to connect to ANY server for about 1 hour now. I get either "Unable to join game" or "Game is full" even though it's not full, e.g. 28/32 before and after the error.

i was just trying to get on a second ago but all the games were full. it's really a problem for me cus i got a high rank and the rooms i could get in were already limited.

i'm going to try again in a minute. watching the USA basketball team kill Argentina in the gold medal game.

yea i can wait up to 25 minutes trying to get into a ranked Sony server, but with unranked one's I don't have that problem.

To get into ranked games it can take up to 30 min. Sometimes though if your lucky you can get in right away but sometimes it freezes.

No, it takes me 5 min at most to find a game. But if their point is that you can't jump instantly into a game, then for the most part they are correct. But it really doesn't take long to get into one... especially if you want to play an unranked game. There are literally hundreds of games going at one time.

Go into filters and set Rank to My Rank. I think you can only play with your own rank and I've gotten into every game I've tried to join so far. Thought some of you might want to know.

Ranked servers seem full all the time. Takes so long to find one because the room says it's got 4 slots left (20/24) and is full when you try to go in. Then when you search, you have to wait for the list to come back up (Filtering helps). You should be able to filter ranked and unranked games. I only play ranked when alone, I split screen sometimes and unrank it then. More ranked servers are necessary and a way to filter out the unranked ones is a must.

It's practically impossible to get into sony server on weekends unless you're playing like 4 o'clock in the morning which I tried and worked very well lol.

But to me, more important issue is all the scores, ribbons, and medals you earned in ranked games not being added to your profile.
I'm not sure it's just my profile not being updated for while or they basically dumped my scores into garbage.

Either way, I'm feeling like I wasted like 10 hours of gameplay.

When I was on earlier toady there were 605 servers running (30-40 sony ones) If you sort by name the sony serves are all lumped together. I spent a couple minutes adding servers to my favorites before jumping in to make it faster next time.

Great game. I just have the problem of choosing between COD4 beta and warhawk. Both are equally fun.

:-) Yea, I figured this out too... I automatically start looking for games from the bottom of the list. The problem if you start from the top of the list is that everyone is trying to get into the same games as you at the same time... Warhawk is immensely popular & there are many ppl trying to get in games at the same time.

Warhawk is beating all expectations. This only goes to show how well the game sold. Overfull servers are rarely heard of. In any event, this is an issue that can be resolved rather quickly, and i must say i am impressed because even with loaded servers, i've NEVER ONCE experienced any lag during a game. That is impressive!

yup absolutely no lag and 32 player rooms that are constantly full. Almost as good as Halo's 8 person games that have lag and 2 of the 4 opponents drop out after 3 mins of gameplay.. well worth the 50 bucks

for multiplayer; it's not very stable and has performance issues, thus the cap on how many can play at once. Dedicated servers offer the highest performance, but apparently Sony is the one putting in the monetary investment for their free service. Not sure where Microsoft is putting their $200 million a year from Xbox Live Gold subscriptions...

ultimately this is what makes xbots some of the dumbest people to have ever lived. MS doesn't give a crap about you as gamers or loyal customers. You already put $50 in their coffers and you think they would turn around and say "hey, thanks for your patronage, we'll make mappacks free" instead they actually come down on developers that want to put free content on Live and make them charge for it.

why you ask?? The online is FREE, I can fully enjoy my product without having to pay more money just to play it online. I LIKE SONY'S VERSION OF CHOICE MUCH BETTER THAN MS'S.

Microsoft should make map packs free. What does microsoft got to do with developers releasing game map packs for a price or not. Nothing it is up to those who make the games. Epic released gears of war maps for free then a series on a timed fee which are free now. Same for ubisoft on graw 2. Hows that virtua fighter online update going for you. Pay away for have what you should have had.

Your response doesn't make any sense. For one, ther is no one server... there are hundreds of them. Not getting in has nothing to do with sh*tty servers, it's the fact that so many are playing. And so many are playing b/c it's such an awesome game... anyone that has read any internet gaming site in the last week knows that.

His response makes perfect sense. All of these PS3 owners(I should know, I am one of them), have been waiting so long for a really good game, now that it has shown up, they are all tearing into it at the same time. There are a lot of PS3 owners, with an online component that they don't have to pay for, so they are ALL going to get online at the same time to play this awesome game.

His comment was not written to be a negative bash, just an honest assesment, and I am in complete agreement with him.

You can only host a ranked game if its a dedicated server you're creating, and if u dedicate it you cant play on it yourself...see the problem with that genius?

Actually, I never have a problem finding a ranked game. But there would be less of a problem if more gamers setup their ps3's as servers when not playing... right now, only beta members are doing this (there were less Sony servers for the beta so as a community we agreed to leave our ps3's running as ranked servers while not playing). More gamers will realize to start doing this eventually... that way the entire game community benefits.
