They see it as a bad thing, we see it as a good thing. 3 days after release they need to do some maintenance to accommodate the sheer awesomeness that is warhawk. Maintain away sony, maintain away.

This is the second story is see this morning, first one is that ms won't be fixing the red ring issues.

It seems that the game is a bit more popular than Incog was prepared for.

I dont see this as a bad thing. Every server/client based game need maintenance. I just don't think they were prepared for how many people actually bought this game.

I am sure we will find out fairly soon though.

I agree. Even with hundreds of dedicated servers, it's nearly impossible logging into an official ranked game during peak hours..

Incog certainly did not expect this kind of traffic only 2 days after release.

People are so misinformed....

I work in IT, we host over 3k user on a range of 60-80 servers... server reboots are a normal thing with a Client/server infrastructure...

But this rational wont matter, the "other" so called games will find a way to make this somehow seem like a bad thing.

There were a total of 40k ranked names if you look in the leaderboards, it will tell you your overall ranking.

Last night it was damn near impossible to get in a ranked server.

There was well over 1k servers last night.

When are they ever going to fess up and just flat out say. "You little bastards are killing our servers!" Instead of "Servers are down for maintenance"

Kinda of a good sign in a way if there was enough people to kill off the servers. Large pay downloads will be a great way to keep the service free.

On the other hand if this is the first of many "Server Maintenance" issues. Than it could effectively kill this game. But it is far to early to assume that.

Hopefully they can fix it soon, because I plan of leaving work at noon and play a few games before going climbing.

I love playing on foot. You gotta use strategy. Its not a fps where you run up and shoot aimlessly. I've personally taken down tanks with nothing more than a stock full of grenades and good cover. And the grenade launcher is aweomse. Lock on to some jeeps or shoot down some warhawks from the cover in the trees.

Also, pick up those land mines and put them on birdges haha, I love watching people rush over on their jeeps only to get blasted away.

26.2 - Something that might help

Getting into a room is not always easy.

Once the list of servers / rooms has refreshed (look at the rising number top right), select a game you'd like to join, and just before joining, hit triangle. That will update the stats for that room and you can see if it's filled up. They fill up real fast but I found this lessens the chance of attempting to join an already full game.
