Sales for the title gained more than 1,300 percent in the past 24 hours to become the largest sales gainer at Amazon's Computer & Video Games Movers and Shakers.
Sales for Sony Corp.'s Playstation 3 title The Eye of Judgement spiked at retailer Amazon.com on Tues. when the card battle game became available for pre-order purchases.

BUT, these Amazon "stories" are all crap. For example, "PS3 Jumps 1000% at Amazon, or the 360 down 9000% at Amazon". It's really not an accurate gauge of anything except your desperation to submit news with a flame baiting title.

I am not a fan either but I want an Eyetoy and this may be the best way to get one. Kinda like how you can get a 2nd Wii controller with Wii Play game bundle for only ten more dollars. It just makes more since.

With the amount of money some of my friends have dropped on cards for other games this could singlehandedly make as much money for sony as Halo 3 even if it doe4snt sell to the same audience the booster packs and special cards sometimes sell as much as a game each.

You really felt this was "newsworthy". ...and its not just you. I too am tired of all these Amazon.com best seller articles. You can post up a new one almost every hour if you wanted.

Give me an article / preview of the game...dont post up more of this tired amazon.com crap. You want this game to get attention then post something meaningful.

This jumped up 1200% on Amazon because it "officially became available for PRE-ORDER'! So 1200% is realistically....12 copies pre-ordered. 12 more pre-ordered than they had to start which was zero since they weren't taking pre-orders...thus 1200% increase from 0. So why not change the article to "Eye of Judgement gets 12 pre-orders on opening day!" ???

EDIT: Upto 1300%.....errrr...13 pre-orders I see now.

LOL....you are callin me a dumba$$? Son....while my attempt to make fun of the Amazon.com sales updates may have been slightly inaccurate...the spirit of my comment is dead on. It's a pointless post..one that changes hourly.

And for the sake of discussing the increase....what does 1300% mean in sales then? What in anyway shape or form does this figure have ANY value to someone if we dont know the actual number of units pre-ordered? All this means is ...they opened up pre-orders and people pre-ordered.

So Demon1980....you can throw out your fanboy insults all you want but the fact is these articles are stupid and pointless gaming news. It might make your little fanboy heart warm knowing your console has a game that got some pre-orders...but this is just flame bait and gives absolutely no real insight for the game in question. sure I went on to poke fun at the 1300% being only 13 units but that was to show the ridiculous nature of these amazon posts....I have come to loath them as I am seeing them posted up at a blistering pace and they have no real relevance with out true numbers behind them.

I think this looks great and will definately get this and probably play it quite a lot. I believe it will get really good reviews and will be really fun to play but i don't believe that it will sell well. Mainly because you have to by a $600 machine if you have any chance of wanting to play this. If this was released a little later with more PS3 owners to buy it or if Sony keep heavily supporting it with marketing and other packs then it should sell well but Sony havent had a good recent reputation of marketing.
