Warhawk: Confirmed PSN & Retail Release Dates

Threespeech have now confirmed the EU release date as the previously suggested dates of the 28th August for PSN and 21st September for Bluray.

For a game that is based on ranking your progress on an International platform, delaying the European version *beit on disc* by almost 4 weeks is almost insulting.

I remember entering the Beta late on, and the skills of the players far exceeded mine so Warhawk really is a game that needs you to practice alot. This is simply unfair and further indicates the lacklustre abilities of SCEE.

The delays of most PlayStation 3 titles is frustrating enough, but to swallow that we Europeans must wait a further 4 weeks on top of those delays is very depressing. We get treated like 3rd class customers. Americans here complain about the lack of content on their PlayStation Store - well that store is paradise in comparison to ours. We get trailers of movies I've never heard of, let alone interested in - and that's pretty much it!

I'm not happy at all.

Agreed. This is crap. I'm sick of getting every game after everyone else. I wouldnt mind but the PS3's biggest fanbase is in europe too

I'll be getting the PSN version. The disc version is way too close to Halo 3 for me. £19.99 is great for at least a months worth of entertainment.

exactly...

and as pointed out by #1...this is all SCEE...Incognito blogged about this a while ago on how improtant it is to realize it is completely out of their hands...this isn't SCEA or anyone else "screwing" Europe as is the case normally...This is SCEE not getting their crap together...just like the Resistance patch delay (their servers were causing the glitches according to Insomniac)...and also with the lack of extra tracks that have reportedly been done for months now in Motorstorm...

don't wait for the BD version...Its the only way to show SCEE that no one is "ok" with delays...they will only listen to money numbers...

9 - i got a few questions......

whats the release date for it on bluray here in the US?

i want to buy the hard copy for the extra headset but i'm not waiting that long for it.

also, anyone know if we'll be able to copy the game from disk to HDD?

i really like how with the beta, we could just go right into it. it loads really fast and its nice to not have to jump up and change disk. i got a 120gig in my ps3 and i'm ready to put it to work.

10 - You can buy...

You can buy the PSN version and a blutooth headset for less than the Blu-ray version itself. Downloading it will also be beneficial because loading times will be faster and there is the obvious conveniance of launching it direct from the XMB without having to disc-swap.

The only reason why I would even consider purchasing the Blu-ray version is if the game size took too much space on my HDD, but apparently it only takes up 800MB, which is nothing considering the 55GB of overall space.
