This is ridiculous. It seems as though it is just not about the consumer anymore. It is all about money (and always has). I played the Warhawk beta, and it deserves at the very least 90/100. It may not have single player, but the multiplayer is super fun.

Okay, here is a guide to manage stress for all of you meatheads out there that get up in arms over stupid sh!t.

NEVER STRESS OVER SOMETHING THAT YOU CANNOT CONTROL, IT WILL EVENTUALLY KILL YOU OR MAKE YOU KILL SOMEONE ELSE.

So what, the guy use to work for xbox magazine, he's a professional journalist, I'm sure he's not going to risk his career and reputation over a stupid $40 video game or an ignorant console war. If he didn't like it, he has every right to rate it low. But, here's what you do, if you think the game is going to be great, then for GODSAKE BUY IT!

If you find later that is sucks, so what, it's only 40 bucks. Unless of course you as so screwed up in the head that you are more concerned that a SONY video game got a bad rating than you would be about possibly wasting your money. It's your call.

But, for goodness sake, don't blame the guy for being bias because he didn't like the game. Let me guess, if the next batch of EA sports games get low reviews for the PS3 will if be Peter Moore's fault because he use to work for MS. PLEASE! GET A LIFE.

Ziff Davis does own all of those entities. Wanna know the killer? Editors from EGM and 1up REad N4G. In fact you could be talking to one....

on the other hand it seems IGN is the only place to get a decent un biased review as of late. Even 1up forums and comment boards got overran by so many 360 fanboys, that there were insulting everything Sony including a TV tuner that no one has seen.

I know its one review and he shouldn't be attacked by it. But the thing is when he stepped in as new Editor-in-chief for PSM, he already stated how he envisioned a perfect ps3 controller. Its an xbox360 with Wii motion controls. That's not the right way to be liked by long time readers. Immediately, he showed how he favors the 360. Everybody is entitled to their opinion but to state something like that in a PS magazine is pretty dumb don't you think? It was not the right place and the right time. After I read that section, he lost all his credibility from the get-go.

The real point of all this is that Warhawk is a game that could only get a score like that because of a personal bias. I played the game, no lag, no crappy framerate issues, its FUN!!!, addicting and just does not suck. Its a fun game. It does not need a single player mode. The the vast majority of beta testers loved the game. It was a well balanced war game. You cant have fun with bots. bots suck. Seriously, I call shenagains!!!

It's not a ten, it doesn't have enough maps or a refined enough third person infantry mode to warrant a perfect mark. But my God, it's a great,exciting, thrilling game.

It's not a ten, but I wouldn't like the word on the street to be that this game is a 7. It's definitely up there with alot of Multiplayer games I've played.

Rob Smith was originally from PC Gamer. PC gamer absolutely hates Sony and the PS2/PS3. Smith has blasted it before in PC Gamer (PS2).

Keep in mind PC Gamer also went around during the PS3 launch and offered custom $7,000+ computers to people who would give up their spot in line and sign a contract agreeing to never purchase any Sony console products for 10 years.

I have no doubt he's biased. Isn't this the same magazine that was advertising Gears of War?

I didn't know that he made that comment, and that is something he shouldn't have done (at least if he was trying to earn the respect of his readers). That's a low thing to do and I can see why some people would think he's biased (but it might just take time getting used to the new situation and representing a new console now, people should wait on their judgments to see how future reviews turn out, or other events). I couldn't believe it either. After I read that, I told myself "Wth is this guy doing?" If he didn't like the controller, PS mag is not the right place to say it especially it has a million of PS readers. The following month's issue, he admitted he received a lot of hate mails for that section and he was apologizing. Why not right? That's got to be the worst first impression for a newly-appointed Editor-in-chief. I wish they bring the old editor back, Chris Slate. He made that magazine comical and very entertaining to read. Regardless, like you said maybe just give him time to get situated. I'm still giving him the benefit of the doubt. Right now, he's stating that he's enjoying MLB: the show. Now I don't know if that's sincere or he's trying to redeem himself but we'll just have to wait and see.
