PS3: New Info on Home, LittleBigPlanet,The Getaway, PlayStation Eye, Plans for Leipzig GC & More

Sony's Jamie Macdonald joined SCE London Studio in 2001 as its first director, and has been responsible for introducing and establishing such major new global franchises as EyeToy, SingStar and The Getaway.

Jamie was at the Edinburgh Interactive Festival earlier this week to give a talk on social gaming, specifically focusing on PS3 Home and more.

yea I loved the first Getaway and I completed it...first time completing any of its genre...

anyways it was a great game and the new Getaway is on my list...but not much news about it only the 1 trailer I saw which made me want to know more about the game...

Look i'm no fanboy but even i know that the PS3 will when in the long run and that will start at the end of this year and it'll pickup a ton of steam come next year with games like MGS4, KILLZONE2,EIGHT DAYS,FF13&VS,LITTLEBIGPLAN TE, and a whole lot more ttitles to come you will see that.

It's pretty obvious that from now on the ps3 will only be getting better. Both in service and software. The 360 still has to deal with its hardware issues and it still has to diversify its software offerings. The ps3 has singstar, buzz, eye toy, and home for the casual market... what does the 360 have???

I don't think it need to compete with GTA4 at all

not saying Getaway is better then GTA4 and would sell more but Getaway is like the 2nd thing to have next to GTA4...(my opinion) not into the whole GTA series after GTA3...

and Getaway to me feel much deeper and nicer to play (maybe because I live in UK) lol

He`s wrong about Studio Cambridge developing Heavenly Sword though, as that`s handled by Ninja Theory.

Anyone who knows what Cambridge is making for the PS3 ? I loved their Medieval-games (damn they`ve hard, i didn`t managed to beat either one of them hehe), but their 24 wasn`t that good.

11.2 - Yeah the first get away was awsome

I did like it better than GTA3..I got to about 40 percent on GTA and then I lost interest, but the get away was none stop action. The story is what kept me playing, it was so cool..One of my favorite games of all time and would pick the get away before Gta any day.

certainly has my attention more than it did a few days ago, after reading this interview!

i'm really interested in seeing what new stuff Sony will be announcing, since he said there will be new annoucements of games there.

*THEN i can't wait for the TGS, when the *JAPANESE studios start announcing what they've been up to (dear lord, i hope Team Ico has something to show of their PS3 project; a trailer, teaser, *ANYTHING!).

Dude in another week you'll have WARHAWK then after that LAIR and the next week ater that HEAVENLY SWORD. You and G4N are asking for more games well your getting a ton of them in one week, each month has at least 3 to 4 games coming out for the PS3. The only month that doesn't has that many exclusive for the PS3 is Jan, after that you get even bigger and better games like MGS4, KILLZONE plus a whole lot more after feb and march so just holdout. The only thing you have to worry about is money and which games pick over.
