Japan Reacts to E3 and PS3 Premiere events: MGS4 the most anticipated game

Wii still keeping everybody's interests, but Sony is not so far behind.

This week's Famitsu featured a survey conducted by the Japanese publication asking consumers, retailers and industry insiders on their thoughts regarding announcements made during recent events such as E3 and PlayStation Premiere 2007.

Agreed. One would expect Japanese to ignore those games in favor of more Brain Age/DS/Gundam/Pokemon titles but no, we have have LBP and MGS on the list with MGS4 beating the mighty WiiFit in Japan!

Aslo agreed with Merc3nary, with the enemies and bosses shown at TGS this game could become much more popular.

Anywho

Why would anyone be surprised at this being the most wanted game
after the showing they had in Japan. That trailer, when it first came
out was breathtaking.

It took me back to when the Next Gen consoles had just been anounced, and Games like Gears of War, and Heavenly Sword, made my Jaw drop. They were almost inconceivable in the PS2, Regular Xbox era.

I know, I am going to play the hell outta this game, I will def take a week off of work, just to play.

Well im a playstation and i have to point out that Sony had two conferences to hype there games. Nintendo had one conference and i'd say they had just an average conference and Japan still rates them higher. It's is progress by Sony. And I can't believe 360 is actually ranked higher than PS2. That's BS.

Like to know since when is Famitsu's polls law? Famitsu has their readers and they are gamers, I don't think a millions of wii owners are reading into what one publication is saying.MGS is obviously going to sell systems and so is FF series (lots of girls love that series over there), but the impending doom will hit when wii fit arrives, and bundled with the system at some point (can they sell even more weekly than now).I hope PS3 stays strong and keeps the good fight but lets face it,it can NOT win this fight with just it's expected Triple A games , MGS,FFXIII,GT. I know a lot of you live in this imaginary world thinking that those games will de the god sent but in Japan those type of game have their audience and will sell out and sell systems. Will drop of the charts and life goes on. Now when you have games that are on the charts for over 52 weeks straight you know it's not the same ball game anymore. I would just want people to wake up and see the change in our gaming world, stop thinking of the past, Nintendo has a new leader and the days of the N64 and pre-gcn are over and gone.

Before I get placed into a category as a fan, let me just say, I am the biggest fan on this site. That's right I am the fan of games which ever system brings it I play it, and I've been playing for about 30years and I still have my Snes hooked up to my screen (sad i know lol).saddens me to see so much hate and anger vs each other on this site for a gaming company (you would think they pay you guys)but I think some or most guys on here diss one system without ever trying it and might be just hell bent on putting an other system down(my friend seek help Dr.phil can't help you btw).

Have MP:corruption reserved and I want to see this console control they are yapping about.

Will be playing Halo3, but i feel as if i'm in for same old ,prettier graphics though :)

I am not looking forward to any ps3 games that much, sure I'll play a bunch but theres nothing coming this year to say omfgihtptgn(dont ask me what i wrote lol).

Let's wait ti'll 2008 ,that when we will know where they all stand, maybe in quicksand or on solid land but one thing is for sure, as a gamer we will win this generation.
