this is kind of old news and mark rein has said ut2007 WILL come to xbox 360. i think epic doesn't want ut2007 to go head to head with gow that will hate the sells of both games b/c gamers will be divided when buying them. so rather focus on the sell of one game and whens its made enuf $ release the other one thaT way double the profit

PSZero IS hard to program for. You could even think of it yourself.

The Cell is officially a one core capacity chip if you look at it the right way. It only has two threads. Like a normal core in CPU has.

Like the 360 CPU has 3 cores with each 2 threads make 6 in total. The PS3 GPU only has 2. The 7 cores in total split up parts of the programming, for each part a different compiler needs to do the work. Those 7 parts have to be cut up, transported (the 2 threads bottlenecks step in) and get together again.

On paper it looks great. 7 so called cores to work with. Yep they can all calculate at the same time. But it's like putting a Ferrari motor in a Fiat. It won't work, the frame from the Fiat will be torn apart because the power is unable to use completely.

As is the same with Cell. Then the bottleneck continues when it get's to the GPU. Limited on 256 MB fixed ram. 360 has flexible 512 MB accessible for the GPU.

The 360 CPU is symmetric programmable on the same way.

Imagine it: PSZero has great peak power on paper, but in fact like the video is stating: it depends on what can be delivered in real time, in the games. And 360 will be on top off that watch the video read above

Now if PS2 is really great, and it has sold 102 MILLION consoles, then why when games are coming out, Theres only about 3-5 million copies sold of the game. Whereas Xbox 360, we have sold nearly 5 mill. and each game that comes out at least has sold 2-2.5mill, which is one half of sold consoles. Playstation is good, and i will be getting a PS3, but you have to shut up your kutaragu ass-kissing ways and look at facts, Xbox 360 is on fire, and will most likely wipe the sh!t out of Sony's PS3.

360 sold 5 million at the end of June
360 will have sold 5.8 million at the end of July
360 will have sold 10 million before PSZero launches (IF it launches -on time-)
360 will have around 11 to 12 million sold 31-12-2006
PSZero will have trouble to supply because of bad yields on CPU, and troubles with BetaBluRaydrive
360 will have sold 16 to 18 million mid 2007
PSZero will have sold max 4 million by then

Imagine that. 360 will be 4 times as large as the PSZero at that time. Combined with more easy to program for, it'll give you an idea where game producers will put their resources in for exclusives and games in general.

"Right now, UT 2007 (PC) is slated to hit in the first half of 2007," the spokesperson told GameSpot. When it was announced in May 2005, the game had a broad "2006" release date.

As for the PlayStation 3 version of Unreal Tournament 2007, its ship date remains undetermined. Interestingly, though, Midway's response did not mention the PlayStation 3 version by name. "The next gen version(s) [of UT2007] have yet to be tagged with an exact ship date yet."

There isn't even a release date or time of year for the Next gen Consoles. Plural...There are only 3 next gen consoles....lol...And With the love Epic has consistantly shown MS from xbox to the 360 it doesn't take a genious to figure it out. But honestly. No one interested in the 360 is even thinking about Unreal. lol.... We are too excited about the Exclusive game not going to the ps3 or the PC. Gears of War. The reason why Unreal got pushed back is because

A. Epic saw how Gears of War turned out and had to revamp Unreal in order to even be on the Gears of Wars level of production.

B. They are having problems porting from the pc to the ps3. Ps3 is just not optimal for gaming with its bottle necking and low texture ram. But they will make the best of what they have to work with.

C. The 360 version of Unreal was outperfroming the ps3 version and they need more time to make it catch it up to speed with the 360 version. Their experience with the 360 gives it an edge. Advanced software tools is everything. MS has that and then some.

Now I know some of yall will ask for links to all my claims. And I don't have any besides the info in this article. But I can recall several people on here asking me to stop posting facts and express how I feel. Well, there you have it. From the facts I have gathered...This particular posting is my views on whats really going on behind the scenes with Epic.

Actually, John Carmack, which now makes Quake Wars, which will be on 360 also says it all:

PS3 has more peak power, but for every so called core needs to have it's own compiler, cut data in pieces and then has only 2 threads. They're assymatric which is not optimal to work with on games.

360 has 3 symmetrical cores, with each 2 threads. It can be programmed on the same with. Sony didn't seem to have made the most optimal choices for gaming. Microsoft did with the 360.

eh I hate games like UT, their like Quake and every other computer game, run as fast as possible and jump like a moron every which way to try and accomplish something and not to die, I'm sorry but theirs never been any strategy with running around with a gun, and jumping every which way you can to keep the other guy from shooting you first, I just hate that, it's not strategy it's just frustrating, and only like quake, UT, shoot even Halos like that and a few other PC ports are that way, games like (hopefully gears of war) GRAW, Splinter Cell, COD, BIA, shooters that are also strategy based are the real shooters, because you have to actually have skill, to move without being seen, aim, etc...I dunna UT's not a bad game obviously, but even if it DID come to 360, I wouldn't play it ever
