Work firewall is blocking the interview. I want to hear what is said about the price drop, because after hearing the 60gb SKU will be dropped, I felt it was more like an clearance sale than a price drop. Left a sour taste in my mouth. How can you actually be happy about being decieved yet AGAIN!!!! They lie to everyone by saying it's a pricedrop when in reality it's just them clearing out all 60gig models in order to focus on the more expensive models yet again!!!

the 80gig costs less to make. 80gig hard drives are easier to come by than 60gig and the cost difference might be in the 80gigs favor because of availability. Also the 80gig has software emulation, so it costs less as well. And i think by the time it hits market...itll be 499 and the 60g will be gone.
AND the 60gig isnt clearance. Its a price drop. Theres nothing wrong with the 60gig. you arent getting an out of date model. it does everything that the 80gig does and it might even be better at emulation.

If it makes them cheaper for people, sure.
Then when 60GBs are gone, 80GBs will take their place at 500 or a lower price point, permanently (until it drops in price again).
Kaz said they won't talk about it until 60GBs are gone, and they obviously won't confirm it.
"Lol no, 80GB which clearly says Limited Edition will stay at 600, even when we drop Motorstorm and 60GBs are gone. We plan on raising the price for the holiday season."

Dur hur hur.

They're not saying it now to stop people from buying 60GBs, when 80GBs will be at that price later on. The masses will not be offended or pay attention to the shift. They'll think bundle->no MS game->PRICE CUT is good, and from Sony's view, it doesn't screw with early adopters, who, unlike Xbox early adopters, are by and large happy with their PS3s.
