Devil May Cry 4 demo coming for Xbox 360, PS3 not certain

IGN reports that Capcom announced that a Devil May Cry 4 demo will be released for Xbox 360 sometime before the game is releasing. The demo that is shown at E3 is completely the same that was shown for the first time in April, so no real new footage of Devil May Cry 4 is expected.

Capcom will be releasing an Xbox 360 demo sometime before the game releases. Capcom is also 'considering' a demo for the Playstation Network, but nothing is certain. A demo for PC is not mentioned. The demo will probably be the same as the E3 demo that is shown in Santa Monica.

More great news about Devil May Cry 4 as Capcom will be showing new levels of Devil May Cry 4 at the coming Game Convention or Tokyo Games Show events. The next demo will also be running on Xbox 360 hardware, in stead of the PS3 hardware where the first demo ran on. A releasedate for the demo or full version of Devil May Cry 4 haven't been given.

Some peeps are going to flip out again...

I own a PS3, and not a 360, and never cared for the originals...I still own the first one...and its merely ok to me...didn't like the rest of them...

are any MS guys interested in this? I don't know why some many people made such a big deal out of it...there are TONS of action games that look way more fun to me...I understand that PS3 fanboys would use this game as ammo as to what the ps3 could do before it was announced for the 360 also...but I sure was not one of them...

Says a lot for Capcom though...they have just been slowly twisting the knife for the Sony and DMC fans...first it was "well it will look better on the PS3 because the entire engine was built around its architecture"...then it was "DMC 4 will look identical on all platforms"...and now its "The PS3, which bascially makes up the entire fanbase from the original, may or may not get a demo"...next it will be "the PS3 version has been delayed indefinitely"...

I don't care...I am just waiting for RE5 from capcom...thats it for me...

by "MS guys"...I meant "gamers" that own a 360...I already know the answer for the "Sony guys" (and by that I mean "gamers" that own a PS3...in case you were still sitting in the slow seat)...

I wasn't attacking anyone...and I wasn't taking sides console wise...I simply meant if any 360 owning/PS3 lacking people were actually considering this game...But I like your faith in that all 360 owners are simply gamers...and never pick sides or criticize other platforms...We both know perfectly well that all platforms have annoying people that are obsessed with it...

is a franchise that has links with the PS2 and Sony for that matter but to put DMC in the top 3 is way off. I think Gran Turismo belongs up there before DMC, even GTA has more right to be up there then both.

DMC might be in the top 10 but not in the top 5. IMO

Um, by that logic of yours, I can safely say that you either get your games for FREE, from second-hand bins of gaming stores, play console games that belongs to a friend/relative, not into online multiplayer, you have some shallow interest in games, or simply all of the above.

Seriously, with games costing $60 (and growing) a pop, headsets, hard drives, extra controllers, cable upgrades (if you're rich enough to have those fancy-pansy HDTVs), game-specific accesories (like the guitar in Guitar Hero), Xbox Live subsriptions (if you're a 360 owner), and more...they WILL ALL COST TOGETHER more than $500.

Bottom line is that you are probably not a gamer at all.

lol i didnt really that hyped about this when it was exclusive to ps3 back then and still same feeling

because its basically same old...as i had said it before i love DMC 1, 2 was ok but 3 i werent really interested in it apart form the new fight elements but apart from that it wasnt that much to offer(played liek halfway only lol) and looking at this DMC4 it wasnt really impressive, seems the same offers nothnig new.

now i know why Sony didnt mind it going multi at all because if they did they would be sure to secure it anyways but for the 1s who never play b4 then its worth playin i guess apart from that for the 1s who played DMC series b4 they might find it ok but not all that...i for 1 dont really care about this game much

im looking forward to Halo 3,Warhawk,Lair,Heavenly sword,Uncharted: Drake's Fortune ect more then anything

I rather have devil may cry 4 then heavenly sword. but thats cause im a Dmc fan i played all 3 games. so im Very pissed that not only is the 360 getting the dmc4 but they get the Demo Before Ps3 !! Honestly I don't think this game gets that much attention anymore, there's just to much out there that is better than it, this is something that I will be checking out on Live but I can't say i'm waiting with baited breath it's just screaming average at the moment...

I dont mind them sharing DMC4, but I thought the game was dev'd on the PS3? why is it so hard to give us PS3 owners a demo? I owned all the DMC games on PS2, I liked the franchise, but capcom just turning there back on the company and fans that helped make them great is in extremly poor taste.

like highps3 said, enjoy it when it comes out xbox fans, if this is true Im just going to rent it, Capcom needs to work harder to earn my money.

13 - Not sure about this game

I have never much of a fan of this type of game. I mean it seems like a good idea, cool enemies, cool fighting moves... but wave after wave of enemies rushing in so you can bash them (or they can kill you) tends to get old.

A lot of people have loved this series though and I have never played this actual series only other games like it. Also, I am really looking forward to Too Human which kind of seems along the same lines as this. So I guess I should give it a try. Though I suspect I will find it sort of annoying.

I have downloaded plenty of demo's from the PSN which works much better than it used to thanks to backround downloading. you said it yourself, dev's are putting demo's on xbox live and not the psn, that sounds like somthing the dev's are taking care of correct?

Im willing to give capcom the benifit of the doubt tho, I will wait for somthing official.

and you are right in the sense that DMC is a good series, it certainly holds it own against the likes of GOW and Ninja Gaiden and other stylish action games

Maybe Capcom figures that DMC is new to the Xbox crowd so they will release a demo to introduce it to them. They probably think that most Sony fans are already familiar with DMC. Capcom should release a demo on both though.

If you are a fan of the game then you would buy it anyway so why fret?, if you are new to the series then they just lost a potential costumer and then you shouldnt really be caring. I have played all three and to me there is something missing to the mix, story is fine and visuals are nice but the oh so lauded gameplay gets repetitive after a while hopefully theyll add a lot of new moves but seeing theres is another character(who in all past games most people didnt like to play as, remember sofia and Vergil?) the new moves beyond the ingame style change doesnt seem to be that doable.

its ok because people that own only xbox need to see what a game like DMC4 feels like. I played all three games and after the first it gets old quick hack n slash. the only good thing is devil trigger and even thats gets boring after awhile so let them think they got something special
